Hitachi Travelstar 80 GB Hard Drive Questions & Answers
Can't Find Hard Drive.
Go into the notebooks bios and see if there is a boot from USB in the boot sequence section. If there is, then enable it. If there is none, then it will never boot from an external drive.

Portable drive
AV's Good place to start.. If these are external drives scan them "offline, Or off network" with AVG free as well as run Adaware personal Plugged into another machine and do NOT let it auto-run on load..(May infect the running machine).... Post back.. (Weve seen viruses say RAW Drive volume @ 57k partitions with 20 gigs of data/space being used).. Good luck!
www.trendmicro.com/housecall is also good but its a systemhog, Takes forever, And I-net is of course needed during the scanning process... Too many open options for trojans...

Loading Itunes folder
When you move files that Itunes is using you need to take them off your playlist and re add them. Some of the files you son may have downloaded and they should still transfer to that location you will just need to re-import them after you move them to that new hard drive. You may have to recreate your playlist but all your files should transfer to that drive. I would recommend you using NTFS for the file format. You also have to remember that the transferring of those files to the Ipod will be slower then when it was on the internal drive. It has to go through the USB connections twice.

Where can i find drivers for travelsrar 5k500 b-250
Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices If you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver if you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver If you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it.
Rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html Windows XP/Vista/7/8 it might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: it will find all of your outdated drivers This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point. Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated. Hope this helps.
