The problem is in the drain system as what error code OE stands for.The grinding noise is coming from the drain pump. Loose change, hair pins and the likes can get into the pump filter and sometimes into the pump impeller causing a grinding noise during the spin cycle because the pump works while the machine is spinning. The pump impeller may also be broken causing the grinding noise.

Disconnect power then open the filter door on the bottom left of the cabinet.


Remove the drain plug and drain the water out completely into a shallow basin or the likes. Once drained, lay a piece of towel under the filter then turn the filter knob counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the filter and reach in the pump impeller to check it if blocked or broken. If cleaning the filter does not solve the problem, you need to access the drain pump assembly and check the pump particularly the impeller thoroughly. Hi.. UE error means unbalance error..Check your floor level and machine legs... after u checking ur floor level and legs also perfect means change the suspension rod.

I used to have the same problem. You should try to lower the amount of cloth in your washing machine. :) hope this will help.

There are pressure switches (weighs the tub) connect to the tub... towels and sheets hold more water and therefor weigh more.. try washing less pieces and see if that helps.. This is another example of our government knowing whats best for us!! I have to wash two or three more loads.. and THEN rinse and spin each to get them clean.. I use A LOT more water this way... oh well...

Make sure hall sensor is snapped in to correct location and is secure. Take a look at repair videos from repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com for guidance. And the error code is "LE" for sure not "tE" which is sometimes confused between the two.

check under for a broken drive belt I suspect that it broke and damaged the tub hose to the pump or from the pump to the drain washer pumps are independent items so it will be something other than the pump

may be due to clogged hose or plugged water pump

i would say the outlet from the bleach area is blocked clean out drawer unit

Check for loose wires from the door lock to the control board.If no loose wires,
Replace the door lock switch.

Smells like, I mean sounds like, a belt is burning either from friction caused by a bad bearing, or, a loose belt is slipping on the pully a bit, causing it to heat up from the friction.

LG washing machine error code - OE

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc
