1. Remove the toner cartridge.
2. Get a paper towel or cotton swab.
3. Clean off the glassy part of the toner by turning the gear on the side by hand while wiping the drum surface clean and remove any black lines of toner you see from the cartridge.

The hard drive is not turned on. enter service mode ( utility, meter count, details, stop, 0, 0, stop, 0, 1 - this should be pressed in exact succession) then go to system 2 and look for a place where it asks you about all the installed perifferals. Turn the hard drive setting on.

When you installed the driver did you check the boxes for the installed options? Plus you may have to check the box for saddle unit. Hope this helps.

Change the marketing area from EU to US in Service mode.

What printer is it ? Some older ones need manual calibration, where patterns are printed, then you tell the system which is the best one. Newer ones can self calibrate, but still need it done. Go into your printers menu and see if you can find something on calibration or allignment.
