There is dispaly resolution problem.

Set proper diplay resolution.
Also resert all settings to defaults.

Firstly check when the Projector is switched on , if all the fans are running.

If they are , then it can only be one of two things - either the Powersupply or the Ballast that has gone faulty.

Is there any indicator lights on the unit that flickers , and also what colour ?

Take out the lamp and check for any irreugularities on it like discolouration ( vein like looking marks in either white or black ) or if there is any bubbles on the shaft of the lamp. In which case the lamp will be at fault and will need replacement !

Stephen, Have you installed a twain driver on your windows 7 operating system ? Download from http://www.microtek.com/products.php?KindID=3&ID=35 You need to know if 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows 7 left click windows start icon left hand corner of screen click on Control Panel\System and Security\System to see if 64 bit or 32 bit operating system then download correct version and install by running file (click on file to run ) View in downloads off internet browser DONT totally rely on WINDOWS 7 to auto detect your scanner and to auto download a driver as microsoft are stopping support for Windows 7

Open the lid and scan, you should see if the the bulb is lit. If it is, order and install a new one.

Is this a feedthrough scanner or flatbed?

You can't call the manufacurer and order the part and replace it yourself. It may not be avalible or cost effective to do this.
