I haven't used my Optic
Hi,
You can purchase the software disk from this link:
http://plustek.com/usa/buy-parts-and-accessories.html
Alternately, you can download the installation software/driver free of cost from the manufacturer's download website by clicking this
link
On the page which opens, enter
OpticFilm 7200i in the Serach box under "
Option 1: Search By Product Name" and click the Search button (
See attached image)
Then select OpticFilm 7200i from the results window. Download the driver in .zip format from the list which opens. After the download completes, extract the .zip file to open the driver file.
Here is the
direct link to the driver file.
Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using
FixYa.

No drivers for Plustek Film Scanner
You may have to uninstall the old software and then go ahead and download the software again. It has the windows 7 drivers in there then install it by running the setup file. You can also go into the device manager and right click on the device in there and manually update the drivers in there by telling it the folder that the drivers are located in.

The scanner transport motor runs
it sounds like a sensor is defective.
Generally, what happens, as the scanner travels from one side to the other, there is a tab below which will pass through a sensor telling it, it has reached the end. If the sensor is not working, the scanner will continue to drive forward, eventhough it cant.
It will need to be serviced.

Computer
If the Scanner was plugged into the computer before the software was installed, the computer does not know what to make of the unknown device, (which it cannot identify).
This is why it is recommended that the software is installed before connecting a camera scanner or printer.
If you check in "Device manager" you may find unknown devices listed under "Other devices" if you remove these and then disconect and reconnect your scanner, it should then detect the scanner correctly.

Need AC Power Supply Adapter for Plustek OpticFilm 7200 Scanner
I revisited the Plustek website and found a page where I could send an email to customer service describing my problem. About 24 hours later I received a reply which included an attached order form with the price and the appropriate shipping and tax filled out for the item I needed. The order form instructs one to fill out your particulars and fax the form to Plustek. I have no fax capability so, after a phone call, I was instructed to send the form as an attachment to an email to the customer rep. I received confirmation of my order so, I presume that my order is in the pipeline.

Grey and blue strips appearing when scanning slides
This scanner does not work properly with Windows 7 and there is no fix yet that I know. Also, if you have another scanner installed, such as an all-in-one printer, it will cause conflicts. Having both Windows 7 and another scanner installed would cause this problem. Sorry it's not a fix, but without knowing your operating system (it takes a beefy computer to run) and your setup I can't be more specific.
