Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly. Hope this helps don't forget to vote

here is a general look at the drivers and how to update them
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers or
if you can see your usb but its not working
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

just copy and paste the link you can see DRIVE heading click it and scroll down you can see On-Board Audio download your XP version AUDIO drive and install it. surely your AUDIO drive will work like before

So now you have to install your driver of your audio device to make sound.
To install insert your diskette in your CD-ROM which has come when you bought a new PC or new motherboard.

CPU or motherboard would be my guess. Try resetting the bios with the onboard jumper. Also could be a memory problem.

have you updated your bios on your motherboard and windows vista automatically updates and find drivers so its ever not compatable or maybe your ide cables may be broke or the jumper is not set to master or cable select so could you write back to me at shaunhook1@live.com or post in forum if u have checked all the above and still cant solve the problem

You can use Winflash to upgrade the motherboard BIOS or during boot using text or character driven interface . These utilities can be downloaded free of cost from the mobo manufacturer website. BUT MIND YOU IF YOU DO NOT FEEL CONFIDENT ENOUGH OR NOT SURE OF THIS PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AS ANY ERROR IN THE PROCESS OF UPGRADING MOTHERBOARD BIOS WILL RENDER THE THE MOTHERBOARD USELESS. phalitao, you need to check you're power supply it may be bad.
No PC or notebook will boot without memory. However in your case I would recheck all power connections from the power supply to the board. Remove & reseat all power connections.
Please use you're manual help guide you. Also on the back of you're power supply (on most PSU's), there is a Red slide switch. Please make sure it is set to 115v & not 220v. After all this checking & you do not see life from the board, suggest you replace the power supply with a min wattage of 400w. Or borrow a PSU of 350w or better.
