I feel like I need more details here like what kind of tv you have (model number too) but you might wake it up by pressing enter on the remote.

There is no cheap way to fix, it iwll require in-depth troubleshooting, repair shop will easily charge you $100 and up plus parts.
The power supply may have gone out, please read my guide to get some idea what to look for.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Ur LCD inverter board is dead.Replaced this board will get ur picture back.It a long board.Tries Shopjimmy.com Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter backlight board.

It can be bad power supply module, look inside to see if you see any burnt parts, blown fuse, bad capacitors.

Unfortunatly unless you know someone who can fix it, probably not. TVs are not my specific area of expertise but I would expect the broken parts to be cheap but the trouble shooting to be very expensive. In short I don't think it's worth fixing. Sorry

I GOT THIS FROM THE RCA WEBSITE...IT WORKED FOR ME...THE CRUCIAL STEP IS TO KEEP PRESSING THE REVERSE BUTTON DON'T JUST PRESS IT ONCE LIKE A LOT OF SITES SAY TO DO.  I HAD TO PRESS IT A FEW TIMES, AND THEN IT TURNED THE TV BACK ON AND THE REMOTE WORKED!!! MY REMOTE WAS THE RCA RCR312W...TV IS AN OLDER ORION

1. TURN ON THE COMPONENT (THE TV, DVD, ETC)
2. HOLD THE TV (OR DVD) BUTTON AND THE ON/OFF BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME.  IT WILL STAY LIT.
3. PRESS THE PLAY BUTTON EVERY FIVE SECONDS until the component turns off.
   
4. Each time the Play button is pressed, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks ten times and a block of 10 codes is sent to your component. This process continues until all the codes in the Code Lists have been searched. If the component has not turned off after all codes have been searched, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks four times, turns off, and the Auto Code Search Entry method is exited. 
   
5. When the component turns off, press and release the REVERSE button, then wait two seconds to see if the component turns on again.
   
6. If the component does not respond, continue to press the REVERSE button EVERY TWO SECONDS UNTIL THE COMPONENT TURNS ON again. This will isolate the correct code in the last block of codes sent. Each time the REVERSE button is pressed, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks.
   
7. If the REVERSE button is accidentally pressed after the component responds, press and release the FORWARD button. Wait two seconds to see if the component turns off again.
   
8. To save the new code, press and release the STOP button.
   
9. The illuminated ON-OFF button turns off. You must press the STOP button to save the code.

Order the original remote. Do a Google search on the net for the tech support for your set. They will tell you how to order original parts for your set.

The universal remotes do not do all the functions, and they are not really gauranteed to work well with every model available on the market!

Power supply failure, and or a short on one of the internal boards. The set will need shop service. They will change the defective boards.

Televisions that lack high definition will neither need nor have HDMI capability. Older televisions will not require the 1080p connection that HDMI provides. If yourtelevision is not a flat screen, LCD or plasma, then it will not have HDMI capability.

Check the cables and connections

If you have 3 capacitors bad, there are likely more that you missed.You didn't mention what kind of Flat Panel. If LCD, then check for the 5 volt supply. The caps are likely 220uF and 1000uF - 1500uF and all in the 16 volt range.

You already check the fuse inside near the power supply?Check also the power supply if they have power output.If power supply is good the problem is in the board.Need for repair and troubleshoot of authorized repair technician.
