Verbatim 53018 Store n Go 1TB USB 3.0 2.5 Inch External Hard Drive Black Questions & Answers
My verbatim model#53018 1TB does not respond after it is connected to my PC
Go to the Disk management service and check if the drive shows up there. The route will depend on your OS. In Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel > System and Security. Go down to the Administrative Tools and click Create and format hard drive partitions. Look at the lower half of the window and scroll down to see all identified disks. If your external drive is listed, something got corrupted in the NTFS or FAT record. Use a third-party drive repair tool before reformatting the drive (which will delete any information on the drive). If your external drive isn't listed here, try connecting it to a different USB port. Make sure that your USB ports are providing enough power to the hard drive. (Some USB ports can be disabled for power savings/security.) If you are using a laptop, try plugging in your AC adapter/charger. If you are using a USB hub, try a direct connection to the computer (or use a powered hub). If you are still not seeing the drive listed, there is a problem with the connections inside the external drive. Either the wiring between the drive and the controller has come loose, the USB connection to the controller is damaged or the drive failed. If the drive is out of warranty, you can try opening the case and using a different enclosure (2.5" or USB/IDE/SATA adapter). If you have a desktop with a free SATA controller, you could try putting the drive in your system. If the disk works with another controller, the enclosure was bad.I hope this helps. Cindy Wells
About License under software manager
I would ask a lawyer who is well versed in copyright law if you wish to change a public OS.
Why not download the beta and that can be adjusted and returned for evaluation.

My Verbatim External hard drive Model 47672 just won't power up all of a sudden. How do I go around fixing it, using, etc?
The device is USB powered and the first test is to see if it opens on another computer and if not, another cable. If it does not work, the next thing to know is the probability of being able to get the unit operating again is very slim. Those devices use SMT components and they require very specialized service and diagnostic equipment. That is the reason that these drives come with back up software. You need to back up the back up. There is a slight chance that you may be able to remove the drive from the housing and plug it into a computer directly, of use a universal cable to activate it. Keep in mind that the drive has a lifespan.

Dvd player keeps saying wrong region code
You only get to make four or five code changes and, for copyright reasons, thats it.
You can download Anydvd from Slysoft.com and it will nest in your desk top, and remove all dvd codes as you load. The dvds then run "Region Free"
They will copy with Dvd shrink and so your back ups are region free as well.

Verbatim USB1T external drive
Assuming it’s powered on, do you hear the “usb” sound when you connect it to the computer? If not, try a different usb port, or a different cable. If you hear the sound, check for the disk in “computer management”. It may need partitioned or formatted.
