Ice dispensing motor (IDI Motor) inoperative
I had the same problem. GS6NBEXRS00 is 4 years old. Intermittently the ice dispenser would stall. Usually in crush mode, but occasionally stalled in cube mode. A sharp bang on the front of the door or the back of the ice dispenser from inside the freezer would get it working again for a short time. Went through the same steps you did. Replacing ice dispensing motor 2252130 fixed it.

Knocking noise coming from bottom of refrigerator
check the compressor for operation adn check the fan in the back of unit to make sure it is running...whirlpool units are notorious for compressor relay failure normally they click in and out every few minutes... if it is a knocking noise and continuous make sure compressor is not trying to start and sitting there shaking... normally it will stop after a few minutes and then start again....

Refrigerator does not cool or
Make sure your freezer(evaporator)fan and condenser fan(in the back of your refrigerator on the bottom next to the compressor) are both running.
Take off the back panel inside your freezer and look at your evaporator coils to see if they all have a thin layer of frost on them, if not, then its likely you have a bad compressor or a sealed system restriction.

Warm Fridge side
Defrost the fridge freezer overnight. Restart unit. If it starts working you have either had a door ajar or a defrost problem. If it fails to cool down at all then you may still have a defrost problem or a evap fan motor faulty. Most likely outcome is that the unit will work once defrosted for approx three weeks after which the freezer will freeze back up. Most likely cause will be the defrost heaters. Any good tech should be able to help on second failure. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool wrv986fdem01 no lights
Check the control panel or display on the refrigerator for any error codes or indicators that might suggest a malfunction. Reset the control panel by unplugging the refrigerator for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
