You are experiencing a common problem whit card printers, usually it happens when the printer needs maintenance. Two things might be producing your problem:
It could be the rollers, may be they are dusty and the card slips, that produces the error message you are experiencing. To solve it I recommend you to clean the rollers using a lint free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol. You can press the cloth against roller and move it turning the blue knob located at printers left. I also recommend you to run a cleaning card to the printer as specified on users guide (every ribbon replacement), that will also help you.
Another possible cause of your problem is a blocked by dust sensor. Datacard printers sensors rarely broke, when they produce problems is always due to dust. You can buy a compressed air can and spay with air all the interior of printer, just don’t forget to remove the ribbon and cleaner roller first. In that way dust accumulated on sensors will be removed and your printer will work properly again. I recommend you to operate your printer in a dust free environment, this kind of printer is very sensible to dust and debris. If you still have problem don’t hesitate to ask.
