Turn the freezer setting to a lower (not as cold) temperature, and then pour hot/warm water over the tube in the freezer that provides the water for the ice. Yes, the water in the tube may have become frozen.

To access the drain, remove the items and shelves in the freezer, then remove the lower rear panel... there are 2 screws holding it in place about 2 feet up from the bottom. When you have the panel out, you'll see the drain below the evaporator coil... take that back, you won't actually see the drain 'cause it's covered by ice, but it's there.
You can use a turkey baster to suction up water, and an aluminum pan to catch the run-off.
Use a hair dryer to melt this block of ice. Then remove that aluminum shield that's sitting there... this will expose the actual drain hole. What I do at this point is pour some very hot water (not much, about a cup) into the drain to help thaw the ice in the drain and use a small flat head screwdriver that's about 4" long to poke/scrape/dig in there and help it out.

1. The fan or blower has failed.
2. The coil is covered over with ice and blocks the air flow.

The first reason is pretty simple to fix, you simply replace the air circulator and things are good again.
The second reason can be more difficult.
1. The timing device that runs the defrost cycle of the refrigerator is defective.
2. The heater coil that melts the water is shorted or not working

Usually the first thing to check is the heater coil. If there is resistance through the coil then most likely it is still good.
The timing device can be an advanced defrost control board or a mechanical timing device.
If the heater coil checks out to be good then the problem should be the timer.

For most situations, unplugging the refrigerator and allowing it to defrost on it’s own will get you going temporarily, till parts can be shipped to you. That will melt the ice and give you a few days or a couple of weeks till it ices up to the point where it will not work again.

So you can see here, the problem can usually be traced to one of three things.

1. The fan or blower
2. The timer device
3. The electric heater coil

By methodically checking these parts you can isolate your problem and fix it.

Start by checking the water supply going to the fridge using the technique of the Master:

• Turn off the water at the saddle tap valve
  
• Disconnect the water line in the back of the fridge. Place the disconnected end in a bucket and open the saddle tap valve.
• Observe the flow rate–water should shoot out vigorously. If not, then the saddle tap valve is probably gunked up with sediment and you’ll need to replace it.

That should restore normal water pressure.
If the water supply flow rate test, described above, appears normal, then the water inlet valve on the refrigerator may be gunked up with sediment. Here’s how we check for that:

• Reconnect the water supply line to the valve and turn the water back on.
• Disconnect the nylon tube from the dispenser side of the valve and replace it with section of tubing so you can out the other end in a bucket.
• Now actuate the water dispenser and observe the flow out of the tube. It should be the same as the flow you observed in the first flow test described above. If not, then you know the valve is restricting the flow replace the valve.

That is probably the compressor. There should be a fan close by. When the compressor runs, does this fan turn? The fan must work properly for the entire refrigerator to cool adequately. The purpose of the fan is to pull cool room air over the coils and remove heat. If this heat is not transferred to the outside of the refrigerator, the cooling cycle will not function properly.

If the fan is not turning, it will need to be replaced. These are readily available.

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.

• possible causes:

1. bad defrost timer
2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
3. bad thermo switch in freezer

If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items.

Give it about an hour. May have gone into defrost mode.

Program code is located on the serial plate

Press and hold the Door Alarm keypad.

Press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down keypad within 3 seconds.

Release the door alarm keypad and wait 3 seconds.

The control will display PE to indicate the programming mode.

Press the Freezer Temperature Down once more.

The control will display the current Program Code. This should be the same as the program code on the serial plate. If the code is correct, press the Door Alarm keypad for three seconds to exit.

Press the Refrigerator Temperature Up keypad or Refrigerator Temperature down keypad to change the digit value. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the Freezer Temperature Up keypad to select the next digit. Once the correct program has been entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down keypad until the program code begins flashing indicating it’s been saved. Exit the programming mode by pressing any key.
