Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum at your service.
Here is an interesting report I just read.
Repair or replace?
When to pull the plug on your old Appliance
It nearly always makes sense to undertake simple do-it-yourself repairs,
such as replacing a gasket on a refrigerator or a freezer.
Typically, you'll also find a troubleshooting section for more-serious problems
in the owner's manual.
Should you pay for a repair or buy a new model?
The answer depends mostly on the age of your appliance,
how much you bought it for,and the cost of the repair.
Follow these guidelines:
When a repair makes sense.
If your appliance is under warranty or less than four years old
paying for a repair makes sense.
Note that appliances under warranty might require service from a factory-authorized technician;
readers have found them on a par with independent repairers.
When a repair might be a wise choice.
If your appliance is out of warranty and is four to seven years old,
it might make sense to pay for a repair. Customers generally pay $100 to $200 for a repair.
But you might want to buy a new model even at this stage,
given that today's models are quieter and have added features.
Higher energy efficiency is another plus: Energy Star-qualified models made after April 28, 2008,
are 43 percent more efficient than conventional models built before 2001 and 56 percent
more efficient than those built before 1993.
When it pays to replace.
The repair costs more than half the price of a comparable new appliance.
Data also shows that it doesn't pay to fix a less-expensive applaince
six or more years old .
Thanks to better recycling programs, less than 10 percent
of a appliances you replace is likely to end up in a landfill.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help!

The dishwasher is stuck on drain, I think it has
Hi
The issue seems to be with the float
switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found
inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher
lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for
the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby
shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may
interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to
test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and
touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either
zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down
on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If
the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for
further assistance.

The Dial will stop in middle cycle and the
Hi.
Re:"Is It the dial because everything else seems thing?"
It is not necessarily the dial. The dial is expensive and difficult to test directly, before replacing it you test any other possible cause. From now onward I will call the dial CCU (central control unit).
Before replacing the dial check:
Inlet, water temperature and thermostat.
This is most likely cause if dishwasher hangs in the middle of the cycle.Ensure that water is hot. If there is no hot water, check water inlet line and inlet valve.
Have a look at inlet lines at the back ensuring that they are not kinked or blocked.
Even if there is hot water the thermostat must be tested. The thermostat must read zero impedance at room, and cut at limit temperatures below 80C, reading open when hot. If thermostat does not open, then the cycle will not advance as CCU does not detect water is at temp.
Pressure switch.
This is located near to the drain hose, and detects water level. If problem is pressure switch you get cycle hanging in drain. Pressure switch is difficult to test and cst relatively little money, it gets replaced if the problem is water level related.
Door latch.
It must always be tested by running a cycle with contacts jumped.
The anti-flood (aquasafe) device located at the base of the unit may also cause cycle stopping, in that case the machine will stay off from a point onward, with light still on but not cycling. The device is tested in full by jumping it.
Some of the tests above are suitable for a technician, if you need to call a repairman, call Candy service number listed on manual.

Candy cs455m programe stops at about 3oclock on the dial
Yes heatr should be submerged in the water. Not expose to free air.Check the water level float switch or the pressure switch.
The replace timer should be identical in design. If there is a mismatch it will not function as designed.
If it is elctronic micro controller type the same part no and soft ware version should be used.

The best and at NO COST. Talk to the Organ Grinder not the Monkeys. I spoke to Candy who told me exactly the meaning of error4. I cured it instantly and If I had used Fixya they would have cost me a lot of money for no good reason.
