Your lite on has lost its mind and needs replacement.

Meanwhile a non rewritable disk cannot be erased. If not finalized it may not be read on another machine but the originating machine can read it.

Try cleaning it again. Did you clean all the sensors? In order, you first remove the exterior cover with the 2 large side screws on the side (one is under a sticky label) and then on the back, remove the 4 screws around the perimeter of the cover. Pull off the cover and then remove the 2 screws on the silver colored plate over the CD/DVD drive. Then spring in the 2 tabs toward the rear that lock down the rear of the drive cover, and lift the silver cover off the drive. Now there will be an obvious lens and a couple of more light output devices that don't look like lenses. You should see them off to the side after you look it over well. Cleaned with Isopropal and dry with a dry q-tip. After I did this, I had the same problem still. I then took the unit apart again out to the garage and used a throttled back air stream from my air compressor to clean all around the the sensor head. I re-assembled it, put in a DVD and it played OK.

Try to locate an original--a Universal will be a waste of money.

Contact the maker or use GOOGLE with the model number of the unit to locate a replacement.

If you find one that even programs it will be missing several key features.
If you have the original and it does not work look into getting it fixed-pretty easy in most cases.

I dislike Universals as all they do is cause issues for people using them.

Hello
There is a type of disc, called lens cleaner disc. It can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town. It wont cost more. Buy one, and insert it into the player, let some time to play it. Most discs will play automatically, and you can see the result on TV screen. Do it for at least two times. The disc will clean the lens automatically. It is risky to clean it by hand, if you don't have experience to do it.
If you want to clean it manualy, use only 'rectifed spirit' of 'lens claeaning solution' [can be bought from electronics spare part shops]. Never use high sensitive, solvents like petrol or so, as it will damage the lens. The lens is not made up of glass. It is a plastic type meterial. OK

I am having the same problem.....did you ever figure it out?

The tray is either broken, or off track. You may be able to get it back on track by opening the cover and checking it out, but unplug it first, and only try this if warrantee is over and you're feeling brave...
