I would look at the cables going to and from the TCon board, sounds like something may not be making good contact

Check the power supply voltages if you have a meter to do this, if not take the set in for repair but chances are it will cost $100 plus to fix it

Obtain the PDF users manual online. Follow the steps. I suggest purchase a good Omni-directional digital antenna and mount as high as you can.

How long does it run before it shuts off, and does the power light in the front go off like its unplugged or does that stay on when it shuts off?

The PSON signal comes from the main board, chances are if the PS didn't fix it the main board is defective, if you have a volt meter you can test that voltage and see if its changing when the set shuts off, it will either be around 0 with the set off and go up to 3 to 5 volts DC when its turned on or about 5 with it off and drop to a couple volts or less with it on...that voltage has to change to turn the set on and off, if its changing then its the main board.

If your comfortable doing it take the back off and check the main power fuse on the power supply, replace it if blown but it may blow again, if it does the rectifier in the hot side of the PS board is shorted and needs replacing or it will need a new power supply board...Good luck!
