"There is a thermal fuse on the side of the motor to prevent the motor
from burning up. You can replace the fuse (it is a 103c thermal fuse,
crimp it on ) and you should be in for more grinding. It could also be you timer switch, or bean hopper switch, or a broken tab on your adjustment collar." "a broken tab on adjustment collar would stop motor?"

the collar that surrounds the split-shaft on the timer switch has a hunk of plastic missing. The key-words here are "split-shaft". The problem: internet searches for split-shaft knobs are confounded by the fact that fender guitars have split-shaft pots and people like custom knobs for those. The grinder post appears to be about 1/8th of an inch. (I'd be happy with a guitar knob, but they are 1/4)
