Why does my nextbook shut down because of overheating?

The fan may be clogged with dust. Look at the air inlet. Can you see the metal fins, or they clogged? You might be able to use a vacuum cleaner to get the clog out.

I have an e93839 mototherboard with an intel core i7 vpro cpu installed. The board will not POST and I'd like to know what to check?

Start by removing the GPU. See if it POSTs. If not move on and remove all the RAM, see what happens.. if that doesnt work, remove the CPU.. see what happens. you chould get a variety of beeps when you pull things.. Are the fans even spinning? if not maybe you have a PSU fault. You need to be a lot clearer with whats going on though.

Does INTEL D915GLVG Motherboard supports Graphics/Video Card? OR Can I add Graphics/Video Card to INTEL D915GLVG Motherboard? - Kindly suggest me.

gaming is limited by the os that you have gaming is limited by the speed of the cpu ( intel chip)you may even be limited by the graphic card that you can use in the mother board slot when faced with all of these decisions and obvious lack of knowledge of what works best, find your self a computer repair shop and talk about upgrading to what you want you say that cost is no object but to get what you want it will be a new mother board and fast chip ( probably a duel core or quad core) and a suitable graphic card for gaming you can build a computer up from parts off the shelf and the cost will be around 1/2 the price of a computer from a retail shop and you will get exactly what you want

Intel DESKTOP BOARD D945GPB-Win XP Home Edition OS. All web searches keep crossref. all other boards D945G* or D945G**. No mention of D945GPB anywhere on net or Intel Site.

Boot up computer from being off and press pause key right top hand side of keyboard when the bios number comes up on the screen. Pause boot up and read the bios number that is displayed during the P.O.S.T sequence of your Bios start up. Then try googling the Bios number to get the exact motherboard involved. Good luck !

Intel pentium - booting up ok, but nothing shows on screen. Pressed F12 came up with error message error setting up the MD3 over power button. Also, unable to locate media direct BIOS table.

If your computer is showing nothing on screen it is not booting up OK. Are there any beep codes being given during bootup? One single beep at the end of the POST sequence is OK, anything more means some kind of hardware error found during bootup. Media Direct 3 is a Dell product that has caused a number of problems on its computers. See Dell MediaDirect . Your option may be limited to contacting Dell support.

Lock code for hide folder

1. Click “Start”, “Run,” and then type cmd. When the command prompt opens type “CD C:\Test” (replace “Test” with the name of the folder you want to hide.)
2. Now type “attrib file +s +h” and replace “file” with the name of the actual file name you would like to hide.
3. Now, go back to C:\Test and look for your file or folder, it’s not there! You cannot find it through simply browsing around, through the command prompt, or even if you click “Show Hidden Files and Folders”.
4. To find the folder and it’s contents again simply go back to the command prompt, type “CD C:\Test” (of course, again replacing “Test” with the name of the folder,) and then type “attrib filename -s -h”. You should now be able to find your file again!

I dont know how to burn a disc and dont have usb i have forgotton my password on my asmus laptop

OK? Well, you can go to youtube.com and search how to burn a CD or DVD (depending on how much you have to burn) Where is the data that you are wanting to burn to Disc? You can take your computer to a computer service center near you and have them install your Hard drive from you computer - then you'd have all your data on the external drive (wouldn't have to burn to a disc) Of course, this would leave you computer in a non-functional condition. Hope that any or even some of this could be what you might be looking to do? Post back with more detail and I can help direct you in the correct direction. Till then... My Intel E54926 motherboard won't switch on,the power supply works on another board, power led light is on when I plug my power supply in,which shows it has power but still no power to switch it on?

Things to check : bent or missing pins on the processor. Power switch on the case may have jumped a pin if you have removed it . Make sure the 4 pin power cable is fully seated on the motherboard if it is used. If none of these places are the problem, then it's possible there are too many domed electrolytic capacitors on the motherboard which would stop the power ok signal from the motherboard from reaching the power supply.

If you're seeing notifications that the copy of Windows that is installed on your PC might not be genuine, or that you might be a victim of counterfeit software, it's likely that your copy of Windows was not properly activated or is otherwise not genuine. To fix this, click the notification and follow the steps to either repair Windows or-if you have inadvertently obtained counterfeit software-buy genuine Windows.

If you are using Windows XP, download and install the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification Application. It will scan your operating system and will remove the annoying message if it's a legitimate copy of windows.

I installed a intel motherboard in my comp, after switching it on it makes a beep and starts running. Windows is loading files but, it then stops and stays there. Please need some help

Make sure that the mo bo will work with 7. Another thing to check is the disk used for loading. It might be defective or perhaps your optical drive may be having problems reading it - in that case try another drive for the load.

Plugged in not charging

On some devices, like my work Lenovo laptop, it'll stop and just trickle charge when the battery is at 97%. That's a feature, not a bug, designed to help avoid overcharging and damaging your battery and device. Try running on battery for a little while and reconnect the AC adapter. You should notice it's charging again. If it doesn't, post back.

I want to increase the speed of Which type of ram should I use to increase speed of my pc ?

RAM will not increase the speed of your computer. The processor on the motherboard provides a given speed, such a 3 GHz or whatever. It is possible, however, that you need more RAM if you run too many programs or are playing games that need lots of RAM. Go to your manufacturer's website and look up the specs - it should tell you how much total RAM your motherboard will support as well as which type. Go to control panel, then to system. How much ram you have will be listed there. Once you have this information, you can decide if you want to buy more. I have found it is usually best to get RAM all at the same time, from the same place.

What type of RAM is compatible for my desktop pc for increasing speed ?

Your motherboard can support up to 8 Gb of ram, of type DDR2 667 MHz or 800 MHz. In practice 667 would do I believe as the performance difference is not great in practice. The board has 2 DIMM sockets for this. It depends somewhat on your OS and what you want to do. I'd try 4 Gb first. Bear in mind that added ram doesn't actually speed the computer as such, only a faster CPU does that, but it will allow more windows to be kept open, and cut down on data swapping to virual memory on the hard drive. .
