I cant get my hoover

First be sure the switch/circuit breaker on top of the nozzle is on. The brush also will not turn unless the handle is released and tilted back. This model of Hoover has a gear drive to turn the brushes. This was VERY prone to problems, and Hoover discontinued making replacement parts for it several years ago.

Need to preplace handle release pedal

To remove the old pedal, simply insert a screwdriver along it's outside edge, and pry upward to pop it out. The new pedal, (#38434026) can be pushed into place with your fingers. Install it with the handle in the upright position.

Hoover U8147-900 WindTunnel V2 Bagless Upright has

Most bagless uprights are exposed to dirt being drawn through their motors and filtered afterwards. As a result when you see sparks the motor has generally suffered its final breath... Today's uprights often run with high RPM disposable motors where older bag type uprights used lower speed rebuildable motors.
So the short answer is you likely need an entire motor as a minimum. If the unit is a higher end model mover $200 , in great condition and less than 5 years old, take it to a Hoover service center and either buy and install a motor or have them rebuild it. But also consider this...
What most people don't realize is they spend more on high priced consumable filters for many cheap bagless vacs than they ever would spend on bags and in the end the bagless is dirty to handle and has a shorter life span. Mass merchants sell the vacs cheap because their profit is in the filters
Remember a vacuum is the hardest working appliance in your home in the toughest possible conditions
If you replace this vac do so at a pro shop and see the options they have. You will get good advice , you will spend a bit more with better results and less frustration because you will build a relationship .....and always know where to go for service.

Replacing a hoover windtunnel vacuum belt U8147-900

This has no belts, there are 4 small brush rolls, if the ends are bad and not turning then you will need to replace them. The newer ones have metal instead of plastic so are better. Should be able to buy the brush rolls at a local shop or from http://vacuumsuperstore.com/U8120.html

My 2month old hoover bagless stopped working completely!

I found out there was a large dusty clog in my vacuum. I had to clean it out then leave it un-plugged for quite a long time.

There is an automatic shut-off on the vacuum so it doesn't over heat and it won't turn back on it you don't leave it un-plugged and cleaned out.

I am trying to fix a 2000 Hoover Wind Tunnel self propelled the motor shuts off for short use. I am trying to fix it. I found and restored it,

Either the carbon brushes on the motor need replacing or the thermal cut out is activating. That might be because it is faulty or because there is not enough airflow over the motor. Overheating motor causing an automatic shutoff. This is most commonly caused by an air passage that is plugged by hair or dirt.

My spin scrub does not suck up dirty water

When your Hoover spin scrub is not sucking up water, the most common problem is the clear round cap located on the suction nozzle is not closed. See pic. Also check the rubber cap on the dirty water tank.

Where is the fuse on my Hoover Power Pet carpet cleaner.

Depending on the model and the country, the standard fuse is in the plug or it is the breaker. They do have an internal thermal fuse to protect against severe overheating. It is not resettable. https://www.helpowl.com/q/Hoover/FH50700/Technical-Support/fuses/1069077 There are many models with Power and Pet in the name. https://www.google.com/search?q=hoover+power+pet+carpet+cleaner+parts ..
