I had the same problem and was preparing to take it back, the last thing I tried was to 'reseat' the handle -- I removed it then snapped it very firmly back into place. That did it, it's working beautifully now!

Check the machine where the water tank is installed, you will see a pipe stem this stem should have an o-ring gasket on it. also look at the plunger in the tank for proper seating. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/robert_b96ba3f038cf317c

The bottom of the solution tank has a rubber stopper, if this tank is not installed just right that rubber can get caught, or damaged. Here is the manual for your machine.

It seems to be a common problem with this series of floormate... some home quickfixes (a hassle, i kno) but put downward pressure while using the solution.... Check your warranty that came with it, and how long you purchased the floormate... Alot of vaccuums come with 30-90 warranties, I'd recommend having it checked out. That, or if u bought it recent enough,take it back... like i said, these models are unfortunately known to have this problem... Some people have ones that operate normally, but alot do not. >.<

With the tank off, can you see if the rod in the handle is hitting the spot where the tank sits on, if not then there is a problem in the handle. If it is, then the reservior asm may be bad, it is what the tank sits on.

In thi picture, did you replace #20? It is what drives the brushes.

Check the water valve. Most of the hoses that are hooked to the water valve have a screened filter, turn water off, unhook hoses, check to see if they need to be cleaned. Other wise the water valve is bad and will have to be replaced.

Hey, I am wondering is anyone watching over this site. I have seen many questions about brushes not spinning on the hoover vacs but now response except one back in April that said something about taking the bottom over off and checking something but the person wrote back asking how to take off the cover and got now response. I also can't figure out how to get the cover off. Mine is the F5906-900

Either the carbon brushes on the motor need replacing or the thermal cut out is activating. That might be because it is faulty or because there is not enough airflow over the motor. Overheating motor causing an automatic shutoff. This is most commonly caused by an air passage that is plugged by hair or dirt.

When your Hoover spin scrub is not sucking up water, the most common problem is the clear round cap located on the suction nozzle is not closed. See pic. Also check the rubber cap on the dirty water tank.

The only people that will know is Hoover. There are no clues in there. It could be 3 month of 2002, but anyone's guess. Phone them up.

The handle pedal is snapped in to the base, where it pivots.
The pedal needs to be pried away fron the base, exposing the pivot pin to release it for removal. On your model, you will likelly have to remove the lower handle from the base (where it pivots) to get room to release and replace the pedal.

Depending on the model and the country, the standard fuse is in the plug or it is the breaker. They do have an internal thermal fuse to protect against severe overheating.
