How do I set the brew ratio?

Hello, I have worked on many bunn and other make ice tea makers but am not too familiar with this one, but as is common to all there should be 2 timers, one for the hot one for the cold. They are normally located under the top panel or inside the front panel. for 3 gallons you should be brewing 64oz of hot water through the 1oz tea bags (3-4) depending on taste as a rule of thumb. Please feel free to comment again if you have any other questions. Good Luck! Mike

Bloomfield pour over Model 8543...Taking very longto brew....How long should it take?

Call for service! Repairs should be performed by a qualified Bloomfield tech. *** the following is for information only *** * Your brewer has a tank that should have 1-1/2 pots of pre-heated ready to brew water. Pouring in a cold pot of water will push out the heated water into the funnel and over the coffee grounds then into the decanter. This should all start within 15 seconds of pouring water in machine (the top opening) and continue to brew for about 2 mins with a drip out for another minute. If your getting cold or luke warm water out of the brewer then you didn't give it enough time to pre-heat (about 20 mins.) Still not hot? Then call your vendor for service. * If brewer was not pre-filled prior to powering up then the Thermal fuse may have blown due to no water in tank and/or over heating. * Depending if the tank was empty and how hot the element got will determine what blows. * If it was completely dry when plugged in then the element got cherry red hot and may have melted gaskets as well as all the fuses. * Depending on the model, there may be 2 thermal fuses or even a 3d on the thermal blanket. * If the brewer was filled but left on for a long period (weeks?) then the tank just boiled off till the fuse blew. Good chance the element is ok. But have to check to be sure. * Pre-Heated tanks like this unit.usually have a normal load on from the warmer blanket. The load (amps) will kick up on the initial heating of the tank (filled with water) then drop down after reaching temperature. * There is an additional load if any warmers are turned on. * Some brewers have a separate heater switch (some call it a 'Vacation') on/off switch on a brewer will activate the main heater element. Some have a separate switch for the brew warming plate (Blanket stays on all the time) * Easiest way to check is amperage loads on each section. Continuity is a bit harder as it does not tell you if it's shorted (unless you know the resistance loads to begin with) * Final: Get a qualified service tech to check just to be safe. Aloha, ukeboy57

Won't brew

If you don't hear a "click" it is one of two or three things. First it could be the start switch. Second could be the solenoid coil or valve is stuck. Third the water line could be shut off or blocked up. Be sure to see that water is coming out of the water line before hooking it to the brewer. That means shutting down the valve, removing the line from the brewer, getting a pitcher to catch the water, have someone slowly turn on the water valve to see if water is flowing, and if not check the valve to see that it isn't crusted up or in need of a plumber. If you have water to the machine, the filter and solenoid are usually built together on the Bloomfield. Remember no "click" is probably an electrical malfunction...not always...but 95 percent of the time either the start switch or the inlet coil to the valve is bad.

Coffee maker overflows

Who owns the brewer. Usually the OCS supply does the maintenance. Office Coffee Systems sell and service the brewers...the service if for free. Does it have a label on the side or anywhere. If it is overflowing, is it out of the brew basket in to the pot?...There are a couple reasons for that. Is it a water line model?. If it is a pour over, it is human error. If it is a water line model it is probably a leaky inlet water valve. http://www.pamasco.com/bloomfieldsolenoidvalvesandrelatedparts.aspx

Drain the water from a bloomfield 9012 coffee maker

There is usually a pipe inside the machine. Depending on your machines configuration it may be in a side panel. Isolate the power and water. If you remove the tall front panel you should see inside a log silicone hose with a bung in the end. This is the drain tube. Pull it out from the machine, remove the bung and loosen the pipe clamp if fitted.

They make a thousand models. It sounds like the heating element has failed. Generic help and videos in the link but these machines need dealer service at regular intervals depending on the complexity of the particular model. https://www.google.com/search?q=Dolce+Gusto+coffee+Machine+no+hot+water ..
