Flashing lights, pump running even when turned off. Had to switch off at the socket. The vibration from the machine had managed to give a quarter turn to the appliance gate valve, the type with the little blue handle. I could see the indentation in the rear rubber panel on the back of the dishwasher. Unscrewed the little blue handle, pushed the machine back in and started working as normal. :)

If the program chosen contained the HOT WASH but there was not execution then the fault can be confirmed only if the voltage on the heaters and the hot line inlet be ,measured when the cycle advances to the next level. You will need to see if the program works in such a manner so as to switch on the heaters and also the hot valve to make it rinse the dishes with hot spray.

Possible that the main controller unit is not switching on the heater for the hot wash and also the program for spin in the final cycle is absent. it all points to a faulty program controller but ONLY with a voltage check at the inputs and outputs during the cycle will confirm the fault.

The problem is associated with the main program controller unit and so it is needed to remove the panel and see if there is any moisture present that had caused the error.
Leaving if off overnight would have resetted the machine or made the panel OK.
So after cleaning if the panel does not work to trigger the inlet then the controller unit must be checked.
