No, your monitor is needing service
The inverter that corrects the picture and the luminous tube ( florescent) that gives light to the LCD is failing. These and some board components are malfunctioning.

Monitor comes on,then goes off after a couple of
Hi,
This could indicate some component overheating/damaged. I haven't worked on a monitor like yours, but on several occassions I noticed that the problem was caused by blown capacitors. This can usually be spotted if you inspect the capacitors on the logic board carefully. If they are bulging or you can see black goo "leaking" from them then they need replacing. Other than that, troubleshooting of other components on the logic board is far too complicated to describe here.
Hope this helps,

MISSING POWER SUPPLY
Normally, the polarity is molded next to the connecter hole; it may not be real easy to see.
If you have a digital multimeter with a 'diode' position, most devices have a diode internally installed to prevent damage in case of a bad substitution and the meter will show a value of somewhere between 500-800, typical would be in the mid-600s.
If you find that, then the meter is currently causing the internal protective diode to conduct as it would if the WRONG polarity would be applied and most meters will supply a positive voltage to the red lead for diode function.
Commonly, the center is the positive contact but this sure isn't certain.

your monitor doesnt have drivers for it.. and doesnt need drivers for that matter. It sounds like you dont have the right drivers installed for your graphics card. here is a link to the drivers you need.

Why has my monitor turned orange. model dylm19r6 computer monitor
If you mean the light on your monitor is orange instead of green, it means the monitor is not receiving data from the computer.
Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.
Screen dimmed
The monitor is going bad. The capacitors that drive the screen are getting weak. It is too expensive to fix, you'll need a new monitor.
