Where is pv-gs50 reset button?
My reset button blends in with the side of the camera, on the palm side, just to the right of the CARD MODE slider.

Ok. First some precautionary info. TO avoid losing your data on any cards that you have inserted turn off the camcorder and remove the card. Then take a close look at the camcorder. You will see a small hole marked reset. Take a pointed object and press it into that hole and hold for 10 seconds. The camcorder will be reset to factory defaults.
Hope this helps,
Sai.

PV-GS50D. Cannot eject tape.
Open the tape cover(outside cover as you said it), put the camera in VCR mode, takeout the battery without turning off the camera, put the battery back in and turn on the camera and try ejecting the tape.
Let me know if it worked.
Sai.

How to transfer the video file from my mini dv
Hi!
Are you using Windows Vista or XP? Have you downloaded the correct driver and installed it on your computer?
Also, the most easiest way on how you can copy the video file from your camcorder is by taking out the SD card and then plug it in your SD card reader. It should be detected as a mass storage device.
