Sony CPD E400 19" CRT Monitor Questions & Answers
How to replace Sony monitor case
I couldn?t find disassembly instructions for your CRT; however, I can give you some safety warnings and some general hints. If no one else posts at mine will either discourage you OR give you enough to start.
First off CRTs are dangerous, taking one apart without the proper training and precautions can kill or severely injure you. If you don?t already have the training and experience discharging the stored energy in the monitor you should not attempt it even if you have ?instructions?.
If you decided to continue on then there are typically four screws holding the back of the monitor case to the front panel. On some higher end Sony?s they are covered with a plastic cover that you can easily pry off with a screwdriver. Once you have them out then the back cover can be removed, exposing the tube and remainder of the electronics. Again a warning, unless you know what you are doing you run the risk of severe electric shock and should not proceed. Usually there are a series of screws that attach the chassis to the front panel, remove them, the panel electronic connections and the disassembly should be done.
SONY CX330 camera shutting down
Why do they need to be turned on all the time? If your using them as security cameras they are not designed for that job. The 330 could be overheating because of the constant use. Some cameras have a built in 'Overheat' switch which could be switching it off.
These cameras are designed for short periods of use, recording things like parties and holiday trips. How old are these handycams? These do get old and the technology in them can wear out if in constant use.
Sony cfd-s70 Will Not Read CDs
There are a few possible causes for a Sony CFD-S70 CD player not reading CDs. Some possible issues include:
- Dirty or damaged CD: Make sure the CD is clean and free of scratches or damage.
- Dirty lens: The lens that reads the CD may be dirty or dusty. A cleaning disc can be used to clean the lens, or you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe it clean.
- Faulty lens: If the lens is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
- Faulty CD mechanism: If the CD mechanism is not working properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Power Supply Problem: Make sure the power supply is connected and the power outlet is working.
- Firmware issue: A firmware issue could prevent the CD player from reading CDs. You should check the Sony website to see if there are any firmware updates available for your specific model.
If the problem persists after trying these suggestions, it is recommended to take the device to a professional repair service or the nearest Sony Service center.
