External hard drive says disc is not formatted, do you want to format now?
I would go into your disc management and see if it is recognised there, if it is, see if it has a drive letter assigned to it. try plugging it into a different usb port and wait until it has run up before trying to access it. if you say no to the format request you should be able to do a disc scan that would repair the error.

Ximeta External Hard Drive
You need to stop using Vista as Microsoft has not supported it since 2014. OK to use Vista for a while after 2014 because Windows Update still gave security updates for other Windows products (Word, Works, etc.). But now, Windows Update for Vista will not work anymore for anything. At least switch to Windows 7 as Microsoft will probably support it until 2020.

Win 7 64 bit freeze
I have the same problem. I don't have the right solution but I discovered a workaround.
The problem occurs everytime when I install a windows 7 update.
My work around:
- When Windows determines an update I disable the NDAS service with msconfig
- The update is installed without the NDAS service operational.
- After update I enable the NDAS service with msconfig
- I restart my computer. Then it freezes.
- After a hard reset, the computer restarts in Safe modus. I restart my computer and my computer works, till the next windows 7 update. Then I start again van 1.
Very suboptimal, but it works.

200 GB Seagate External Drive, Drive Not Formatted
I hope that the information below may be of use to you
I devised these simple steps that tend to remedy quite a few issues with most USB portable / external hard drives and devices (though not always)
A few things to check but assumes USB and Windows for other interfaces / operating systems (mac/ Linux) similar steps may be adapted to suit.
1. Ensure it is connected directly to the computer to a USB 2.0 port not a USB 1.0 port as this can have effects on performance and reliability
2. Use only the cables that came with it NOT one that fits that may have been lying around or is longer. Not all USB cables are equal even though they should be)
3. Do not connect through an external USB HUB unless that hub is USB 2.0 AND has its own power supply.
4. Use ONLY the power supply that came with it if it has an external power supply Don’t use any other unless you know it has both the same voltage and current rating e.g. 12V 500mA anything rated below that would not work properly.
5. Always use the same port for connecting your devices. Some devices do not like being switched about. If switched they may want to install software / drivers again. This can be especially true if you move a HUB to another port
If you checked and fixed anything there and still have issues then check your hardware from CONTROL PANEL / SYSTEM / HARDWARE.
Any exclamation marks by hardware need fixing before you investigate any further
USB flash drives can fail for no apparent reason.
Sandisk Cruzers are especially bad for this.
USB hard drives should be treated with extreme care.
This is a real hard drive ! and knocks and bumps can quite literally kill them.
Sometimes it is possible to remove the drive from the case and install it direct into a computer to double check that the drive is OK
This depends on the interface eg SATA or IDE
If the drive is clicking / pinging then this is the worst noise you could hear from a hard drive as it is usually the "Click of death"

80 GB external drive failed
Have you tried the windows troubleshooter on the drive yet? (from properties select the hardware tab and the troubleshooter is there). if no luck, but the troubleshooter gives you some info, please let us know.
Also see if windows will let you defragment the drive.
Run a virus check on the drive if you haven't recently and it lets you.
If you have access to another computer, check the drive on that to see if you get anything different. (the OS version of the other machine shouldn't matter)
If you open the unit up and remove the actual hard drive, then install it as an internal drive on a PC, you will bypass any possibility of the external drive extra bits being the problem.
Run a disk diagnostics utility on the drive, if you need one, try (there are many more also);
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Disk_Analysis_Utilities/DriveSitter.html
or use the built in windows one "chkdsk" which you can find in the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32. Just double click on the chkdsk.exe icon.
If none of this gets you anywhere, chances are the drive has developed a fault in the location where the File allocation table is stored (this is usually the part most accessed).
Formatting the drive again will probably solve this by saving the FAT elsewhere, but you would lose your data. For valuable data, there are data recovery companies that usually charge a fortune, but ask if you need this and we can try and source one near you for a quote.
Ask again if you need more help or have more info from trying stuff out
Hope this helps :)

Power on NetDisk
try connecting the drive to a different system and see if that works.Incase it workd on another system than reinstall the USB drivers by going into the device manager. Also you could try different USB cords as there could be an issue with that as well.

Have you actually purchased Visio, or are you just trying to get it for free?
As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.
My Employer Says They Are Going To Cut My Wages. Can They?
If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired an
employment attorney to fight the case on my behalf. It turned out that my employer was basically looking to scare people into taking the wage cut.
They got into some pretty serious legal trouble for their transgression, and nothing happened to me in terms of wage cuts after that. If you are between contracts, your employer can re-negotiate your salary, but as far as I am aware, if you are in an agreed-upon contract, they cannot just decide to reduce your salary. If you want to settle matters, contest this action with support from a legal professional.
