Using the firewire/IEEE cord attach the camera to your computer.  If you are using a Mac it should instantly recognize the external camera when you open iSight or what ever utility you are using to communicate.  If you are using a Windows based computer open MS Moviemaker and it will recognize the camera as well by selecting capture -- once the camera is recognized you should be able to broadcast with it.  If you are using uStream.com sometimes your video capture interferes with the ability to broadcast.  In that case hook up the camera using firewire, connect to uStream -- grant uStream permission to capture using the camera then you can see the video in your browser window.

it means you have no back up battery installed to save time/date info. I know on the GL2 if you open the LCD screen there is another small plastic tab you can open and insert a relatively small battery. Do it and the icon will disappear. Otherwise its no big deal. If you dont need time/date stamps on your tapes then there is no need to install the battery unless you are just annoyed.

1 BLUE/PURPLE LED indicating the unit is powered up. If the color of LED changes to "PURPLE", it means the hard disk is either in READING or in WRITING process

Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing will be go to MENU then to Audio Mode (16bit) and select the mode that you wan the sound to be recorded. If still won't work then you'll have to RESET the camera. To reset it take out the battery and the card, insert them after 10mins and reset the camera as per the procedure given in the manual.
