Check the float switch to see if it's jammed.

Hi,

This problem arises because the water inside the washer cannot get out.
Firstly......Make sure the salt cover if screwed on tightly (if you have one).
Then remove the filter(s) from bottom of the washer and clean.
Remove the drain pump
cover and remove the one way valve (a ball bearing in a housing) and clean. Take note of rubber cover direction before pulling it out to clean.
Make sure the impeller (visible after you remove drain pump cover) is clean and spins ok. It will have a little resistance as you spin with your finger.
Make sure all is cleaned properly and it will all work fine again after replacing it all back in.

On page 58 it gives instructions and a diagram of the Drain pump.

Turn off th water and remove the water supply hoses.
There are little screens in either end that need to be checked for debris.

If they are clean then you are looking at a faulty water control valve in the washer.
this calls for a hands on tech on location.


If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:

One of these are the problem causing no water.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.

Float switch
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

You will need a hands on technician on location to repair these two problems I solved.

This is not a home handy persons repair.

first check you power box ..remove toe cover.. power box under front... check wire nuts ..make sure power is off... if nut are good you can check heater and door switch...if you have a meter

They will walk you through entering service mode on the machine to diagnose the fault code by pressing a series of buttons. At that point they can let you know what exactly is wrong with you machine

Check the water cutoff float. Front corner should be a raised dome. Pop off the cover and check the float for free movement. A raised float will not send power to the fill valve.

Button wont stay in - lights up but nothing happens. Machine three and a half years old.

make sure the line going to the disposal in not blocked or that the knock out hole was opened
under the sink

Have you checked the water input is not blocked or kinked?

i turn the dishwasher on the salt light keeps flashin ive cleared out the salt container and applied new salt and its still not working

check the dishwasher there is something blocking the spray arm from moving. than you will need to cancel the wash and restart it.

Call Miele they will send a copy of the instructions booklet, I did and I got one

just got this, and have same prob, i have run through all checks

Try putting vinegar in the rinse dispenser for a few cycles. Monitor the level of vinegar in the dispenser and see if it goes back to normal consumption.
