Hi stephanie. Try unplugging it, then plugging back in. That should reset it. Sometimes these machines seem to think we're trying to do what they are not capable of so they go into information overload. If you got a manual with the unit there may be a full explanation. I'm as clueless as you are on this, but my best guess would be to look for screws under the rubber feet. Considering it's replacement cost, you may not want to spend more than an hour or so on a cleanup attempt.

I don't believe ink has anything to do with your problem. But could have been that for improper manupulation your calculator was damaged and now, simply it's defective. The cuestion to make some kind of diagnosis is to input a series of operations and verify if even though numbers show at imput are incorrect, final result is correct. In any case you shoud evaluate if it's worth to repair your device or ge t anew one
