Hi there,
Reinstall the system and it will be OK.Then use a data recovery program to get your files back.
It is easy to recover the files.
Download this program called Tenorshare Data Recovery and run it.There are four steps to do:
1. Select deleted recovery. It will take you a few minutes to scan your note book;
2.You can see all files listed on the task window, click the files you want to recover;
3. Select a path folder for the recovered files to save in;
4. Click "OK" to finish recovery.
You can get the program here:

Ensure the application that opens Socrates files is installed- I'm guessing one of these software solutions:

Once an application that can open .soc files is installed, you should be able to right click on the .soc file, and choose the application you want to view the file with.

If you have a external keyboard available this would probably get you out of a jam so long as there are no other issues with the laptop. The computer keyboard will need to be replaced since it is locked down.

I came across this kind of situaiton on my HP laptop (win 7) and ended up with eliminating it with a boot program called BuitSuite and it helped entered my Windows and resolved the program. It seems that there is a system file missing which lead to error loading error when you boot. Hope it will also help in your case, best regards.

I don't think it's possible for a virus to effect the Bios page. If it's slow in the bios page then there is probably a problem with the video card or the monitor.

Disconnect the mother board battery, the old pass, if any, will go away. You may want to check the voltage on the battery. It may not be enough to maintain the settings for you; it may require replacement.

There is really very little purpose for putting a password on the CMOS, BTW.

Thanks for your question.
