Just to get this clear....your system does not power up at all? if that's the case, then your system board may have been burned out.

u can try only with ur adapter ur laptop go on? if work u can change new battery of dunt work may be from the electric in ur motherboard

You have not given your laptop specific model number! In any case, the Presario 2200 series of laptop normally come with Wifi adapter as standard. To check, use windows 'Device Manager' and locate the 'Network adapters' node: this will tell you for certain what network adapters are available.

the touch pad is usually controlled by synaptic.

To turn it on back, press start menu from your key board and scroll to control panel.

From control panel, use the tab button to select the icons on control panel and go to mouse.

From mouse, use your keyboard to control to device settings.

From device settings, you would see synaptics touch pad, then press enable and that's all.

You touch pad would then be enabled again.

1. Try to charge your battery for atleast 6 Hours.

2. Check your battery, whether it's in good condition!

3. If not replace it with the compatible one!

Hi all you need to do is insert the cd reboot and on the prosess a screen will apear and say press any key to boot from cd press any key your windows xp files will load a blue screen will apear say repair windows(R) select your hard drive you want to repair and repair do not press enter on the first page of the blue screen it will go to the formatting part but anyway just follow the instrucktions and it will be repair.HOPE I WAS USEFULL PLZZZZZ RATE ME AND SORRY FOR MY SPELLING I AM ONLY 13 AND AFRIKAANS BUT IF THERE IS ANYTING ELS EMAIL ME TO [email protected] I DO DVD PLAYERS,PS1,2,3,PC AND STUFF BUT PLZZZ DO NOT FORGET TO RATE ME HAVE A NICE DAY.

This can be a hardware failure , what you can do here first is to take the RAM and put it back in and check if you will hear any beep sound but if after putting the RAM and still having the same problem just completely power off the unit for about 10 minutes take the battery out and after 10 minutes put it back and check what happen....

make sure you nic is enabled for lan and also make sure it is not set to manually get the preset ip unless needed. if all this fails reinstall drivers for ur lan card.

It's on the right side of the hard drive bay in front.

You can replace the cmos memory battery, but replacing the cmos on a laptop will in most cases require soldering the chip off from the mainboard.
