Just drop it off the wall. Very easy. Take the flue covers off and the glass. Then just dismount it. It's not a blower. It is an exhaust canopy. The fan or motor is usually the last to fail unless you have had something fall inside and break the fan.
Either the light power supply or a board gone. Haven't worked on one of these for ages. From memory, they are a pain. Miele appliances are difficult to repair if you are not trained. You may have to drop the whole unit to get to the electronics. Not hard, just a pain.
Miele lights are factory specific with odd power ratings not available in the US. Call Miele Parts Support for a replacement bulb. It is a consumable item no warranty. They may charge up to 70.00 dollars for a halogen bulb so be ready!
Yes The ball bearing can be replaced. You can't replace it.Only a technician can do it.Since the ball bearing winds up inside coil of the fan motor. There is no part no for this. They do it in all types of motor repairing service centre. It will cost very less. They will charge for the bearing and service.

I have just given mine yet another thump with my fist on the stuck side and this time it slid backwards. I promised it that I would be more gentle in pulling it out in future.
