There is a problem with the printer. Press resume button again and see if the light orange light goes off. If not then switch off the computer wait for sometime and start again. If it still persists read the error code.
A printer prints almost anything that is shown in a computer screen and it depend on what you're trying to print. If you want to print contents from a webpage, you have two options to chose from. The first is of course the contents in the webpage that you want printed and the second option is to print the whole webpage. If you want to print only the contents in a web page, e.g. an article or photo, you have to highlight the article or photo first then right-click and select 'Print...'. It should print the article or photo only. But if you want to print the whole webpage, chances are that it only prints the 'skeleton' of the webpage and not the contents, hence the reason you have only the left part of the webpage printed. However, if you highlight the whole webpage and then right-click and select 'Print...' I am sure you will have the whole webpage printed. Cheers.
use the hp software ..and use the envelopes templates in the setup of the page ..or ...just open Microsoft office word ..and select the mailings and in the left side will be the envelopes template ..(office 2007)
Try feeding one by one first. Spread the "legs" and drop gently up to ten pages in the directional manner. Hope for the best. It could be that the pinions are worn out and thus it lacks the grip.
Symptom look like carriage jammed in service station, open cover gently try to pull carriage out if its jammed, open top & side covers, release service station capping through manually rotate gears, once its released, push carriage left side, remove service station & verify why its jammed, if found any breakage replace it, or clean it..but little bit technical skill required..see the similar diagram below:
When printer performs it cleans print head nozzles to avoid clogging,in this process its splits the ink in service station, when its reaches beyond the limit ink comes out. Open service station soak in to warm water clean entire enk dry it then fix it back, or else replace service station.
Hello, I was using a 940C till quite recently and had no probs; however I was using USB to connect.
Perhaps your LPT cable isn't fully wired and so bi-directional comms don't work, ie status info isn't received from the printer, tho' am only speculating. Anyway, could you use USB to connect or try a different LPT cable, maybe a known good or more modern one...worth thinking about anyway!
Good luck,

You should be able to do this from your computer. Go to the control panel, printers, right click on the printer you want to align and choose Properties. There should be a menu option or tab to allow you do do Maintenance. You should find alignment there.
