Has anyone ever gotten this printer attached to a wireless network?
you know, I have a 2710 hp wireless AIO, and it is really crappy wireless. As far as the "detailed" manual says, you can connect wirelessly via an ad-hoc, or one to one mode. But this knocks out you're current wireless network. Example, I can't print and surf with Ad-hoc. You should however be able to connect to the wireless network though. I can with mine. But only if it isn't secure. Anyhow, look online for hp's utilities, or maybe something thats already in your programs.

There is a sensor that tells if the cover is open or closed, and a plactic "tongue" protruding on the cover, usually near the hinge, that goes into a recess in the printer.
Two things may have happened - this "tongue" broke off at some point, or the sensor developed a fault.
There are optical sensors, where the "tongue" blocks light going in between an emitter and a receiver, and simpe electrical contact sensors, which open or short when the "tongue" goes up.
There's not much that can be done with an optical sensor, but an electrical one can be inspected and corrected if needed, if you have some manual skills.

Just download the file and double click to run it. During installation it will ask you to connect the printer, do that and it will complete and let you print.

I had the same problem and fixed it by pushing a damp q-tip (wet and squeeze out excess) into the recess where the little triangle from the righthand side of the cover fits into the base. It's not way back, under the hinge, but more towards the front. Don't know (or care) if it was the pressure or cleaning the sensor there that did the trick.

Try using a needle to pop the button back up. If this fails then most likely the spring for the button has failed and you'll have to use your new parts. Another method is to tap the button with a teaspoon handle lightly several times.

try turning off the printer and computer and restarting both and see if this solves it and on the computer if this doesn't work, change the paper type in the printer's program
