Only load up to windows prompt
Try boot the computer to the safe mode..
- Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
- Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
- When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER
Let me know if that worked.
Thanks

How do I open it up to install new RAM?
well on any generic computer case there is 2-3 screws that hold on the side panel to get access to the motherboard and the accessories inside.
the ram is the long sticks that usually has 2-4 slots and look like little computer chips side by side, and look like a comb(brush hair with) there is a clip on each side that is pulled away from the stick and lets the ram be pulled out. installing is the reverse of uninstall but make sure to take note on which type of ram u have.
there is sdram which has 2 breaks in the little row of metal pins on the bottom of the ram stick and there is ddr and ddr2 ram.
the ddr is a break in the center of the stick pins and ddr2 is offset to one side of the center of the pins on the bottom. make sure to compare, because if you try to jam the wrong type in there you will either break the mobo or the stick.
also take note which way the stick is pulled so you can tell where the small break is on the ram slot ont he mobo.

Network cable stopped being recognized
rj45 (cat5) sockets have 8 internal tensioned wire prongs, (six are used for cat5 ethernet)
use weakens the tension and they can be dislodged sideways vertically or disconnected from the internal cabling. Likewise solder connnections to the motherboard fail.
a possible fix is to power down the pc, and with a jewellers screwdriver ensure that all the internal wires are present, straight, aligned, and protruding across the opening.
If there are missing wires(broken) then the rj45 socket shoould be replaced at your local pc store, (not walmart)

Abnormal program termination error
Thats a USB driver error. You might have to reload it.
Before you do that though, try putting your computer into safe mode.
Turn the power off.
Wait 30 seconds. Turn the power on.
At the beginning of the booting process press and hold the f8 button. When the safe mode menu appears, move the up and down arrows to select safe mode and press enter.
Once windows is out of safe mode, restart the computer in the normal mode.

You might also consider a power supply. Sometimes they don't die completely, you'll still get a little power from them, but they still need replaced. The motherboard would be the next option, then finally the CPU. CPU's rarely go out before the power supply and motherboard.
