My cd/dvd rom dont work coz the drive has change to another one.I think take windows xp/vista/7/8 with an usb and inslat it. When windows finished installing try to format it because the dvd and cd rom are fixed . Thnx

Also, you can try your local computer shop, sometimes they have used laptop dvd drives

You could spend $40 to buy a new CD/DVD reader/writer, or you could spend $50 to $75 for a computer-technician to _try_ to trouble-shoot. Your call?

is this a desktop computer? if it is, you can replace the DVD drive to a new one, they cost around 20-30 usd at www.newegg.com

If the current drive or computer is a laptop or is in warranty, contact your dealer for repair.

If you are outside of warranty you can clean the laser lens yourself with a q-tip and alcohol.

Here is a video on the cleaning, the cleaning is done the same way on all optical drives.



This method is better compared to the DVD lens cleaner.

If the problem remains after being cleaned properly, the drive is most likely failing, due to the cheap price its best to replace it with a new one.

it needs service, and service manuals are hard to find on anything by the likes of ACER. this projector worked for 12 long years, did you own it 12 or bought a bad projector, no history told as I can buy dead projectors all day long. and hard nut problems even hacking done. That button can be set using the utility on your programs list

It maybe that you accidentally turned it off or set it to do some other task.

Start there first before re-installing the program that sets it.
That is on one of the cds that should have come with it and can be installed by itself.

I would try starting up and go straight into the BIOS. Set up your system and reboot.
