suggest looking in file manager at cd directories and see if any are labelled as driver - windows xp see if any have an INI file type
Try also adding a device in control panel - devices.
Then when it comes to driver part - select have disk and then point the have disk to the cd rom drive and you may have topoint it to the directory as well. It should find a (whatever file name).INI . type file .
I need a drver for my Acerscan color flatbed SCSI
Hi.
Acerscan products are not distributed anymore. There is no Windows 7 driver that will work, this for any Acerscan model.
You can try finding A SCSI adapter that works on Windows 7 and let the adapter SCSI BIOS manage the scanner. The original SCSI adapters distributed with this scanner will not work on Windows 7.
If you really want to use this scanner on Windows 7 you will have to buy a new SCSI device, and the scanner may still not work.
My suggestion is upgrading the scanner, I know that this unit are not cheap. Get a USB scanner compatible with Windows 7.
Regards.
Acer Prisa 620S scanner
If this scanner was previously used on a Win95/8/ME system the likely hood of it working with and NTFS[3000/XP] system is slim.
This is because the two system work in different ways and the scanner design for 95/8 does not recognise commands from a NTFS computer.
Two thing to try
Go to Mt computer/Help/Compatibility and read it up.
then right click on the scanner software and click on properties/compatibility and set it to Win98- see what happens
You could checkout ACER for driver updates also.
But don't hold your breath

New driver
I searched through BenQ site as they were previousily Acer Communications or something which made this and other scanners and it only has drivers that are supported up to Windows XP.
http://www.benq.us/support/downloads/downloads.cfm?product=159&page=downloads&dtype=D
That link will take you to the US driver download page for your scanner, change the country to whatever country you reside in. It may work with Vista if you run the driver update as a XP program with the compatibility wizard or when you install the scanner. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid you may just have to go buy a scanner that will run with Vista or an all in one printer that is supported in Vista.
ACERSCAN 620 ST NOT RUN TO WINDOW XP
check for the drivers for windows xp in the manufacturer's site or try at www.drivers.com and install the driver in windows xp that's all your machine will work.
