Place your finger on the Sensor andDrive Ring. The system will read your fingerprint andlog you onto your computer.At this time, you should restart your computer toensure the setup is complete. During restart, yourWindows logon screen will appear. Within a fewseconds, the Logon User Authentication screen(Figure 11) will also appear. You can either enteryour Username and Password, or simply place yourfinger on the Sensor and Drive Ring of the BioM34.Upon authentication, the BioM34 will automaticallyfill in the Windows logon screen and log you ontothe computer.B.The software will then display the Blank CaptureFingerprintscreen (Figure 17). Use light, but firmand steady pressure. Ensure the finger makescontact with the BioM34 sensor and the surroundingdrive ring. APC OmniPass works best when it hasan image of the center of a fingerprint (core image).Capture the full area of the fingerprint by placing thefinger flat on the BioM34 sensor. Do not place onlythe fingertip on the sensor, as it contains insufficientimage data for a high-quality fingerprintFigure 18. Sensor and Drive RingC.As you place your fingertip on the Sensor and DriveRing (Figure 19), the system will record yourfingerprint and display it in the gray box (Figure 20)and the box numbered 1 will turn green. You mustraise the finger straight up and put it back on thesensor up to 8 times before the fingerprint issuccessfully recorded. The Omnipass software will alsodisplay a Logon User Authentication screen(Figure 11). Enter your User Name and Password inthe Windows logon screen.
