Select Next, then select Search for aSuitable Driver; select Next.C.Check the CD-ROM Drive’s check box only; selectNext.D.Once the driver is found, select Next to install it. TheHardware Wizard sends a message onceinstallation is complete.3Install the APC OmniPass®software. Note: If an earlier version of the Omnipass software isinstalled on your computer, you should perform an ExportUserfunction in order to maintain your current databaseof websites and passwords.Ensure to note your current User Name, Domain, andPassword. You will need this information in order toperform an Import User function when restoring yourdatabase after the software is installed. Please refer tothe User Manual located on the software CD for more in-depth information.During software installation, the software will search for,and detect previous versions of the Omnipass software. Ifa previous version of the software is installed, you mustuse the Uninstall Software function in the computer’sControl Panel, or the Uninstall Omnipassfunction - goto: Start/Programs/Softex/Uninstall Omnipass. Oncethe previous version of the software has been removed,you must restart your computer. Once the restart iscomplete, either re-install the software CD into thecomputer, or open the CD and double-click the Setup.exeicon. Advanced users perform the following:Start/Run/e://setup.exe.A. Insert the APC OmniPass software CD into the CD-ROM drive. The software will automatically start theinstallation proces. Within a few seconds, theStarting InstallShield Wizard screen will bedisplayed (Figure 3).Figure 3. Preparing Setup Screen C.Once the InstallShield Setup is complete, thesoftware displays the Welcome screen (Figure 5).Click Next to continue installation.Figure 5. Welcome Screen D.Once theSetup Preparation is complete, thesoftware displays the License Agreement screen(Figure 6). Please read the entire agreement. If youagree to the terms, Click Yes to continue theinstallation. If you disagree with its terms, clickCancelto stop.Figure 6. License Agreement Screen E.Once you have accepted the terms of the LicenseAgreement the Choose Location Destinationscreen is displayed (Figure 7).Figure 7. Choose Destination Location ScreenFor most users, the destination location identified bythe software is sufficient. If this is the case, click theNextbutton. Advanced users may want to select analternate location for the software files by clickingthe Browse button and locating the desiredlocation. To stop the software installation, click theCancelbutton.F.Once you have chosen the destination location forthe files, the Setup Status screen is displayed(Figure 8). In order to the software installation totake affect, you must restart your computer. Clickthe circle next to “Yes. I want to restart mycomputer now”,then click Finishto perform arestart.
