the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk,and remains active untill turned off.

make sure that your RAM and Cmos battery are securely seated

The driver you have downloaded needs to be unziped before

it sounds to me like you need tou get a new wire that connects the screen to the motherboard

no sound mean:

1- speaker is bad

2- entrance sound is bad

3- driver is bad ( re-nstall)

4-windows had a damged files (re- install)

5- sound ic control is damaged ( need out pci/ usb sound card )

6- tow jumper in mother board are take off

DDR here means DDR 1 and not DDR2 or DDR3

In reply to your post- Generally now a days we use DDR400 RAM(DDR 1) for this type of motherboard.So DDR 400 RAM is More compatible then other RAM,you can use this RAM for your motherboard to obtain good performance.
