seems like your graphics card is weak, anyway,again try deleting the driver and ati products then download and install latest driver from ati's website. Hope this helps.

Have you had a look at the cords? Is there any damage to the hardware itself? Maybe there is something else wrong. Tried running virus scans? I know it's a long shot but it's amazing at what viruses do to your machine.

jax, Have they ever worked well on your machine? Has this just started occurring? Your processor may be too slow for some of the games. Have you tried toning down on some of the video features. Try unloading items from startup to save system resources for the game. Try(not while online) disabling virus protection. Your machine may think its within the system recommendations but with extra progams and virus spyware programs running, microsoft updates its a different ball of wax. I upgrade P III's all the time. They run really fast...until all the updates are applied, programs are installed and startup gets filled with un-needed programs starting for usually no "good" reason. Let me know what happens. Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Try going into sound select and test reinstall driver off Asus website..if you installed new windows or update drivers may not work right...see if you can roll back driver in device manager ..if not lookup your laptop model and reinstall...
