Monitor goes black after 1 round of screensavers
Windows version ? It probably matters. You might have an odd conflict between you computer and the power saving features of the monitor. There are about three different things that can control power saving. There are settings in the BIOS of some computers that can control part of this behavior. Windows also has power saving features and the monitor may also have its own settings. Some graphics cards also have settings for this. So I think that's four, isn't it? Biggles! The rack! our three chief aims, fear, surprise and an almost fanatical devotion to John Cleese! and the comfy chair! Four, Our four aims ...Make sure that you have the latest version of drivers for your graphics card and the video display (and BIOS firmware, if you are a hardy soul)You want to poke around and find out whether two of these are interacting. The first screensaver starts using one inactivity timer. The second phase or standby mode kicks on a slightly longer timer.

Comp. wont boot windows or stay on how do i fix?
What exactly happens when you press the power button to turn it on?Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

My averatec will not turn on
Open it again and make sure you connect all the devices and such ..It seam to be like a clear case of a disconnected cable ..If the system boot up ..and seam to run ..try to see if the vga secondary monitor brings anything to a screen ..if it does it means you messed up with the monitor connections ..cause you changed the hard disk ..you don't have a operation system to boot into and try to make an idea..but its a start ..Other things to check is the fan connections and cables ..If the screen is totally blank I think is like I said just a bad connection to the monitor or a damaged cable in the process of opening it .In any other case you would have at least a warning on screen even without hard disk it should boot to BIOS ..

I have a aver tech
There are no special drivers - the unit (when it has a disk in it - it won't be recognized without it) will be recognized as a generic Removable Media and will use the generic driver.

Laptop quit operating
Will not turn
Hi,
According to your problem, first check the charger that
got the power and the electric outlet also. Remove the battery and after some
time reinstall it. You may have to replace the battery of the laptop.
It may occur for another problem also. You don't have say
the exact model of your laptop. Don't worry just open the back panel and check
all connection of the main board. Open the RAM from ram slot make it clean by an
eraser and reinstall it as same in slot. Check the hard disk cables and try replacing
it. According to your definition I think the laptop got the power. So check all
those things and then again connect the laptop with power and make it charged. After
that turn the laptop on and try to boot in bios setup. If you got success the
recover the laptop if need. You should have recovery key or disk with your
laptop.

Computer promptong either boot menu
Sounds like you need to adjust your Bios, clock settings, choose the bios menu, and navigate to the general tab and change the time to the correct, it if does not keep time in the bios, then you must replace the CMOS battery on the mother board, you can usually find them at Best buy for about 5 buck.
