Canon BubbleJet i560 InkJet Printer - Page 3 Questions & Answers
I am still finding that the colors are wrong. I
Did you by chance put in aftermarket ink cartridges? If so, then they may well be leaking with sitting over time. These are often "remanufactured" cartridges where they have simply been refilled with ink or the seals are not as good. You might try a new set of factory cartridges and see if that fixes they problem. I know this is a fairly expensive proposition, but so is replacing your printer, if it is out of warranty. If it is in warranty and you a using factory cartridges, then you might check the Canon website for a factory service center near you.
The colors are wrong for my i560: it all comes out
I would recommend you to clean the printhead before you replace it. Deep cleaning is necessary, but you don't need to do this with the command. Remove the printhead from the printer and wash it with tap water, after that, dip it in a tub of hot water for and leave it for at least 1 hour. Clean the nozzles with a soft brush and make sure no clogged ink is left. Reinstall it after it's dried... This will help you isolate the cause. If fortunate, this will solve your problem.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good luck.

Computor says needs a new printer head
Hi annjohnswett,
Please be informed that the supplies for this printer, Canon BubbleJet i560, have expiration dates on them and it includes the printheads. Kindly check out the expiration dates for your print heads by looking on a white sticker with the date on this format yy/mm/dd. This is an old machine and printheads do wear out. To resolve this you need to buy new printheads.
Hope it helps.

Hey guys, When i print a document with red print
This is a touch printer. Are you using "refilled ink cartridges" If so, that would be the issue. It sounds like a cartridge where the screen is leaking. I would use a genuine cartridge; or a compatible one (meaning, it is a refill, but with internal components changed out.) places like
www.discountink.com offer "compatible" cartridges with a guarantee.
The printer does not respond to anything, I have
The wall socket is working fine and the printer is not. SO the link, ie, the power cord may be defective. Or the power socket on the printer or the power on switch. Any of these could be the culprit.
The power socket on the printer is unlikely but the plug there could. If you have a spare power cable or your friend has, just borrow it for a few minutes and try it out. If it does not work then the power on switch is the culprit. And to change the switch you need professional help.
Biggest problem being that unless there is power reaching the printer, nothing can be said firmly if rest of the printer is fine or not.
Printer runs but does not
Base from the description of your problem the issue here is a printer software/driver related.
So what we can do here is to uninstall and reinstall your printer software from your computer, after you uninstall the printer software from add/remove program on control panel Restart the computer and then reinstall the printer software for it.

SERVICE ERROR 5100 CANON I560 PRINTER HOW DO i FIX THIS?
Hi There
You can Try 2 things.
ERROR 5100 means that there is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there
Next try.
It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.
Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .
Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Service error 5C00.
Waste Ink Counter Reset.
(1) Turn off the printer.
(2) Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button.
(3) Release the RESUME button, Next press and release the RESUME button two(2) more times in succession. Note: you are still holding the POWER button). The printer's carriage will “reset" or move momentarily.
If the above was properly performed the printer will enter the "Service Mode".
(4) Press the RESUME button 4 times, this will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate (change) color with each key press. Next press the POWER button to "set" the change, and return to the top of the function selection menu. Press the POWER button again to restart the printer.
The problem with resetting the waste ink counter is that the waste tank could at some point over-flow. If you manage to get inside to empty the wadding and waste ink tank, make sure you wear rubber gloves as the ink will get everywhere..
And make sure you replace with some fresh wadding if you can..
Regards
Mike
