Goulds Pumps Goulds gt10 1 1 Phase 115/230V centrifugal Self-Priming Pump Questions & Answers
My 8 Yr old 1hp jet pump model JRD10 cycles on and off when i try to use hose at facuet?
I think the pressure switch is cycling your pump when there is a low demand. If your system has a pressure tank, it is waterlogged (has no air in it). If you shut down you system, drain the tank, and the restart you system, it should work. Most tanks are made to be pressurized to a certain pressure before starting up your system. Some tanks have a 'tire valve' on them for pressurizing with air.

How much should good scaffold brick guards cost me?
These should be expensive, but they are nothing of the sort. You can pick up quality scaffold brick guards online for as little as £3.99. I use a company called
BrikGard because they use 100% recycled plastic scaffold brick guards. I like to be as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising quality or increasing the purchase cost too much. Given that their brick guards are so cheap and made from 100% recycled plastic, I feel safe using them. Also, anyone working on-site should consider using a brick guard because it offers that extra layer of peace of mind so you can get focused on the job without worrying about things like falling debris coming down and striking you. For affordable scaffold brick guards, I would check out BrikGard.

How to remove timing pulley bearings on 100-1598 enco mill
To remove the timing pulley bearings on a 100-1598 Enco mill, follow these general steps:
- Disconnect Power: Before working on the milling machine, ensure that it is powered off and disconnected from the power source. This is crucial for your safety.
- Remove the Timing Belt: Loosen the tension on the timing belt by adjusting or releasing the tensioning mechanism. This will relieve the tension on the pulley and allow for easier removal. Carefully slide the timing belt off the pulley.
- Remove the Pulley Retaining Nut: Using the appropriate tools (such as a wrench or socket), remove the retaining nut that secures the pulley onto the shaft. Turn the nut counterclockwise to loosen and remove it.
- Tap and Remove the Shaft: With the retaining nut removed, you can tap the shaft out from the opposite side of the pulley. Use a soft-faced hammer or a block of wood to gently tap the shaft, gradually moving it out of the pulley and bearing assembly. Be careful not to damage the shaft or the pulley.
- Remove the Bearings: Once the shaft is partially or fully removed from the pulley, you can access the bearings. Depending on the specific design of your Enco mill, the bearings may be press-fit or secured with set screws. If they are press-fit, you may need a bearing puller or a suitable tool to remove them. If they are secured with set screws, use an appropriate tool to loosen and remove the set screws before extracting the bearings.
- Install New Bearings (if necessary): If the bearings are damaged or worn, it is recommended to replace them with new ones. Ensure that you select the correct size and type of bearings for your specific mill model. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation of the new bearings.
It's important to note that specific procedures and techniques can vary depending on the exact design and construction of your Enco mill. Always refer to the mill's user manual or consult with a professional technician for model-specific instructions and safety guidelines.
If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing these steps yourself, it's best to seek assistance from a qualified technician or machinist to avoid potential damage to the machine or injury.
