Paslode framing nailer will fire if I manually open the door and push the fuel cell toward the firing chamber to discharge a puff of fuel. I cannot make the fuel cell discharge as it should.
If your Paslode framing nailer is not firing properly and you're experiencing issues with the fuel cell, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. **Check Fuel Cell Installation**: Ensure that the fuel cell is installed correctly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure it is securely seated in the nailer and properly aligned with the firing chamber.
2. **Inspect Fuel Cell**: Check the fuel cell for any visible damage or defects. Ensure that the expiration date has not passed, as expired fuel cells may not work properly. If the fuel cell appears to be damaged or expired, replace it with a new one.
3. **Verify Fuel Cell Compatibility**: Ensure that you are using the correct type of fuel cell for your Paslode framing nailer. Using incompatible or expired fuel cells can cause firing issues.
4. **Check Fuel Cell Position**: Make sure the fuel cell is positioned correctly in the nailer and that it is making proper contact with the firing mechanism. If the fuel cell is not seated correctly, it may not discharge fuel properly.
5. **Clean Firing Mechanism**: Dirt, debris, or corrosion in the firing mechanism can cause firing issues. Carefully clean the firing mechanism of the nailer using compressed air or a soft brush to remove any buildup.
6. **Inspect Firing Pin**: Check the firing pin for any signs of damage or wear. A worn or damaged firing pin may not strike the fuel cell properly, preventing it from discharging fuel. If the firing pin is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
7. **Test with Different Fuel Cell**: If possible, try using a different fuel cell to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the fuel cell itself or another component of the nailer.
8. **Contact Paslode Customer Support**: If you have tried the above steps and are still experiencing issues with your Paslode framing nailer, contact Paslode customer support for further assistance. They can provide additional troubleshooting steps or recommend repairs if necessary.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with your Paslode framing nailer's fuel cell.
I need a head valve seat for central pneumatic 21 degree angle framing nailer model 60828 also need headvalve seat for 34 degree angle finish nailer 68020
I have not been able to purchase replacement parts for these nail guns , however, have repaired them using parts from Bostitch framers and or just make the part. If the seal fits over the top of the cylinder, then try using seal from Bostitch framer part #N70155 fits a bit tight but works. Heat with a hair dryer to soften and install. If the seat is incorporated within the head valve, just dig it out and replace it with liquid two part urethane. Just mix and pour it in. After cleaning out the old seal, place head valve on level surface and pour in the mixed urethane till slightly over full to give the seal a nice crown. The finish nailer might also be repaired using other brand of seals. Remove the old part and take it to service center for a possible match. Good luck with your repair.
