WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE LITTLE GREEN BUTTON ON
Hi, the green button on the back is a hard reset button, you usually have to press this if the battery's have been replaced or if the keyboard starts playing up such as keys not working when pressed, its just a master reset button to restore the keyboard to new, so its nothing major its just a safety feature in case your keyboard stops responding it just resets the communication between the keyboard and the receiver on the computer.
I have a Dell Vostro and the wireless mouse justed
one of two things, the wireless trasmitter boxes could be faulty or they have been zapped with rf from a radio transmitter, { Iam a ham and have zapped mine when transmitting, }just unplug the mouse usb lead then plug in and it should restart working
Wireless key board & mouse
Decide where the keyboard will be placed, whether it is on your desk or a table. Spend a little time experimenting with positions and placement to make sure your wrists and arms will be comfortable. You should consider ergonomics before you set up the keyboard to avoid repetitive motion injuries later on.
Step 2
Install the batteries (usually three AA) in your wireless keyboard. Replace the cover securely so the batteries are connected properly. Turn the keyboard on.
Step 3
Get out the wireless receiver that came with your keyboard. Position it close to your computer, but not closer than about 8 inches, as the computer itself can cause interference with the wireless signal. You will also want to set the receiver away from other interference-causing devices, such as radios, TVs and telephones.
Step 4
Ensure that your wireless receiver is no more than about 6 feet away from where you plan to set your keyboard.
Step 5
Insert the CD containing the accompanying software into your computer. A dialog box should appear on your screen. If the install instructions don't pop up right away, manually access the CD by double-clicking its icon or selecting it from the Start menu.
Step 6
Plug the wireless receiver into a free USB port on your computer. If you don't have any ports remaining on your computer, you can use an external USB hub instead.
Changing the batteries does not make the mouse
Have you tried re-pairing your mouse? Should be a button on the bottom of the mouse and a button on the wireless antenna device. Or, If your using a bluetooth mouse make sure bluetooth is turned on, on your computer.

Hi, these instructions will help you, and "everything that you do for the Keyboard; apply the same instruction to the Mouse." First, click on the "Start" button, in the ["Start Search Window], Type: keyboard; the "Keyboard's" Properties window will open. You can (Test) to see exactly how your keyboard is responding. If you are still having the same problem, (check, the Keyboard Status). "Update the Drivers," by clicking on the "Properties" button. Now in the event that neither of these solutions solve the problem, which I hope you shouldn't have to do anymore; "Uninstall the Keyboard. To "Uninstall the "Keyboard," do the following: Shut-down (turn- off completely); disconnect all the Keyboard Devices that are connected to the Computer. Next, turn-on the Computer, and go back to the "Keyboard Properties," this time click on the "Change Settings" button, next click on the "Driver" button, and select the "Uninstall" button. Once that is finished, shut-down the Computer again. Now you want to "Reconnect" all the devices that were connected before, and "Turn-on" the Computer. "You will repeat exactly what you did from the start, this will "Re-install the Keyboard. "Restart the Computer again after all changes have been made; this will ensure the changes take effect properly. "Rating the solution will let me know if it worked; or you may need further assistance, thanks."

If not then you need to replace the faulty mouse
My keyboard doesn't work on my dell computer,
Have you set up the connection between the bluetooth and the keyboard? You have to tell the computer to look for a new bluetooth device and while the computer says looking for it, turn the keyboard on and keep it close to the computer, range is very limited during discovery, also know thew password to enter when the computer finds it and asks for it. Hope this helps
