Replaced transfer roller and now the printer makes

What you are hearing is actually the transfer roller.

As the printer is moving paper thru the machine, the transfer roller is also moving.

There is a clear lucite/plastic window on the transfer roller unit.

There is a sensor that reads light through that window. when the transfer roller fills up with waste toner, the light no longer can pass through this window, and you get that "change transfer roller" message.

Prior to "filling up", that window is kept clean of dusty toner by a small plastic " flapper" that goes round and round, flapping that window clean.

That is the noise you hear. It is not going to harm your printer in any way, however, you just happened to get a noisy unit.

If this is a brand new, genuine Dell replacement part, I would contact Dell and have them send you another one, telling them that the new one is defective and excessively noisy.

If it is an after market, or refurbished replacement, you probably got it at a discount, and as I said, it will not hurt your printer, it is just going to be a little noisy

Pages come out pink only when printing in colore

The magenta developer is bad.

The developer drive on this printer rotates in both a clockwise and a counter clockwise direction to turn the developers.

When printing black, ( i cant remember which direction it turns, ) only the black developer turns.

When printing color, the developer drive turns the opposite direction, engaging ALL 4 developers.

( the developers are the multi colored bars you see when you remove the image drum unit.)

This is why you do not get the pink output when printing only black.

your choices are to set the printer to only print black and white. ( you can do this in the printer properties for your print driver). or you will need to replace the magenta developer.

Keep getting a pcl error message on the display

Most commonly, LaserJet printers are accessed over a network. To workaround the issue, you may try to connect your PC directly to the printer using an IEEE-1284 compliant cable.
or update your driver
The PCL XL error may occur if one or more of the required driver files are missing from your computer or are outdated. In this case, you may visit the HP Website for the latest driver updates, download them, and update the existing driver files.
If the problems with the PCL 6 driver continue to occur, remove it from your system. After removing, install the PCL5 printer driver that is shipped with your HP LaserJet Family Printer. If this driver is not available, use the latest preinstalled driver that is available on your Windows computer.

hope this helps

Buenas tardes me podrian ayudar

Hola!

Suerte!

At school there is a

A5 is a European paper size standard. Your label making program is telling the printer that the program needs that size label paper. You have to tell the printer to use that size paper. It may be somewhere in the menu of the printer driver on the computer or it may be on the display window on the printer, or it may be as simple as flipping a tab in the paper tray. As far as the printing outside the standard margins, most printers will allow a certain amount of that without a problem. Just tell it yes or Ok. If you solve the paper size problem and it hangs up when you tell it to print outside the margins, then the printer is not compatible with that label format in the label printing program. You will have to choose a different format. I recommend that you select a label format that is a US standard like 3 across on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

Is ti possible to reset

No, but you can find a replacement chip for the unit online, and replace if the image quality was not too bad before it locked you out. The chip is on the side of the drum unit and is easy to replace. It looks like a 1-inch diameter brown circle.

Running but much slower than normal

If you are printing Office products (Powerpoint, Excell, etc.) and using a PostScript driver, the routing first converts the document to a .pdf file before printing; this slows operations down. Try a PCL5 driver. I don't really care for the PCL 6 myself.
