HOW DO I CLEAN NOZZLES

Hi There

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Error 1200

This will do the trick for you.

This error code is commonly associated with the Dell 922 printer. Usually you might see the cartridge moving front and back and slamming itself against the printer. You need to tighten the strings located on the back of the printer and then it should work fine

Clean the carriage rail. This is the round chrome piece that the carriage assy that holds the cartridges rides on. Use a paper towel that is slightly moist.
Be sure to not force anything. Unplug the printer after you get the carts in the middle. Move them to one side and clean and then move them to the other and repeat.

Lift up the scanner to reveal the cartridge compartment; under the chrome rod on which the cartridges run there are two small gaps about 8cm apart. In the right one should sit the paper sensor which is a small black rod that hooks downwards; the problem I had was my sensor had bent up and out of the gap so all I had to do was bend it gently back into position using a small screwdriver.

Hope you get it to go.

Error 1200 carrirer slams back and forth...

Either the plastic strip that goes behind the carriage assembly is missing or so dirty it can't read it. If it's still in you can clean it with a damp Q-tip, if missing you need a shop.

My printer has suddenly changed

need not delete the printer and add new one....
just go to printer settings by pressing ctrl+P keys together...
change the settings there...you can also reset the default settings there...
also if you have changed any settings in printer reset it....
you can remove the power cord out of printer wait for 2 minutes and connect it again....

now give a try, it will work for sure...

I bought office depot brand ink cartridge which stopped working

This happends time in and time out when a customer chooses to buy off brand inks (not your fault) you just wanted to save 5 bucks and that is fine. But the cost of a new print head witch reads these ink carts. is going to be $30 bucks give or take on where you buy it from. What has happend is over time of resetiing the chip with the wroung model ink is the chip gets basically confused and shuts itself down. Now i seen methods witch chip resetters and the like, I have also seen sucessfull long term solutions with refillable ink but all those that where sucessful cost the customer lots of money. Now you got two options here maybe 3.

1. new print head
2. print head cleaner (does nto always work)
3. new printer.

Now these dells do not last a lifetime ether so consider this if you had it more then 1 year you probably ran it out of its life with the office depo ink.

Please be considerate and leave us some feedback or ratings before you close out the screen. Before leaving a bad rating please consider all factors first 1. did the soluton not work 2. did i try the solutions given by the expert. 3. was the soltuon give way off base.
