Hallo! Go to my computer- properties- devices- hardware, in front of your device you will see a yellow "?". Right click on that device, probably written video processor, then properties, hardware ID, you will see smth as PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422F&..... Search the driver by this code on Google. Cheers!

Go to device manager
Check for the USB device drivers. If you are getting Yellow icon then try to uninstall drivers and install again.

Windows is missing the "device-drivers" for your network adapter and your modem.

On a different computer, access IBM's ThinkPad web-site, and download those device-drivers for your T40. Copy the device-drivers to either a CD-writable or to a USB memory-stick.

Move the media to your T40, and install from that removable media.

To go into Windows Safe mode, press F8 as soon as the Windows logo appears.

If you have installed windows right then the problem isn't in the hard drive ( how ever you could try replacing it with another one just to see what happens) How ever it sounds like making your computer is on the toast with the mother board.

is your hard drive ticking or making any nois if so replace hard drive, normaly you can't but you can buy one at staple for around 60 buck's,back too freezing if no nois try reprograming probly have a bad virus,plus check internal battery...

Wow! Well on that I think your only solution to reload the operating system with your cd that came with the computer. You can't log in with the way it sounds. That will be the simple way. You will not be able to save your stuff that is on the computer.

Tools -> Internet Options. Click on the General Tab. Under Browser History, click the Delete buton. The next window that pops up will ask what you want to delete. Check only Cookies and uncheck everything else.Click on Delete.

Software Solution: FN + F5 key enables and disbales wireless 802.11.
Hardware Solution: There should be a hardware switch to disable it at the bottom of the laptop or at the side.
But u cud temporarily on or off it using the software solution.

Which password have you forgotten? If it is the Power On password this can be reset by briefly removing the connection from the system board to the cmos battery. If it is the Supervisor password you can either send it to Lenovo for a replacement system board and hard drive or send to me and I will return with password removed. [email protected] Regards Paul
