IBM Think Centre M52- doesn't power on
Here is a checklist. Don't just visually inspect, take your hand and press them in.
Make sure that all power connections are seated.
Make sure that all cables are seated.
Make sure you didn't accidentally flip the switch on the back of the power supply. It happens sometimes, I have even done it myself. (not all power supplies have this switch).
If none of that helps. Post back exactly what it is doing.
Does it beep at all?
Do you get anything on the screen?
Can you hear the devices like CD-rom and hard drive spinning?
Hello,sorry my english is not
Someone has put a password on the BIOS - you must input it before entering the BIOS and the normal boot procedure. Because of the way IBM are build you can't reset the password by removing the battery, but only by performing a low level BIOS upgrade - which only a dealer can do. You will have to take it to one.
If you aren't the one that put that password and noone had access to it then the motherboard is dying - replace it before it's too late and all your data is lost.
My bios is in german,
Well, powerof your PC. Unplug all power cable. Then open the cabinet cover and find a battery in the motherboard. If you find it then remove it from motherboard and give one minute to resotre the bios. Set battery on motherboar with acurate polarity. You are done.
I have a IBM mt-m
Hi, a typical problem with IBM. Try the Realtrek AC'97 sound driver, its free to download from a google search. The modem is a different problem, you can do a visual inspection of the device and do a google search for the driver with the serial code, or go to somewhere like the following link where you can download a driver detective:

I received computer without OS,how can i
First thing is to get an operating system cd. Then install that. Then go to IBM's website so that whatever drivers it doesn't download, you can downlad them and install them. The 3rd step is to install any programs that you want on your computer.
Need to take the front cover off to replace cd
You'll need to remove the side panel first, then look for marks on the case that show you each lock to be pushed to remove the front panel.May be you have to use a small flat screw driver to snap the edges
Can not load drivers
Maybe you're using a wrong set of drivers. Try to distinguish your operating system first to install the right set of drivers.
For example in Windows XP 32Bit is differ from Windows XP 64Bit Set of Drivers.
View System Information
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- Type winmsd.exe, and then click OK.
- When System Summary is selected in the navigation pane, locate Processor under Item in the details pane. Note the value.
* If the value that corresponds to Processor starts with x86, the computer is running a 32-bit version of Windows.
* If the value that corresponds to Processor starts with ia64 or AMD64, the computer is running a 64-bit version of Windows.
