Motorola Mobility HS820 Consumer Headset - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I am changing cell phones
0000 should be the passcode - check to be sure your phone is compatible with the bluetooth headset or try taking it back and exchanging for a new one?

Motorola HS820 - cannot hear anything nor can others hear me
It turns out it was the Blackberry's problem, which could only be solved by a 're-boot' - take off the back of the Blackberry, pull out the battery for 10 seconds or so, and replace it. The BB will 'reset' and all was fine then.

Headset not found
Hi,
This will vary depending on the model of your phone. First off, you need to ensure that you are using a bluetooth
enabled phone.
On your bluetooth headset, hold down the power button down until the power light stays lit. This
may take 5 seconds or more. Now your bluetooth is in pairing mode.
You will need to enter the settings and tools menu. From
within that menu, you need to find either "connections" or "bluetooth"
and select. Make sure bluetooth is enabled. There will be an option to
add a new device.
Back
to
the phone, you want to hit "add new device". On certain models of
phone you additionally have to select "search for devices". Your phone
will recognize any headsets in pairing mode. When it is finished
scanning, allow the phone to add your headset. It will ask you for the
device pin code. This pin code will be 0000.
Note - I am taking into consideration that your headset is fine.
Thanks.

NOT PAIRING ANYMORE
1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select HS820 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".
Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".
please give good rating if the solution works.
Thanks for using FixYa.

My Phone Does Not Locate My HS820 Headset
Try the following:
1) Make sure the HS820 is fully charged up.
2) Remove the battery and SIM card from your phone for about 1 minute and put them back in.
3) As soon as your phone is booted up, access the "find devices" function for adding your HS820.
4) Hold the HS820 button down until the blue light is solid.
5) Then do whatever your phone requres to "search for devices."
6) Here's the key: as the phone is searching for devices, PHYSICALLY TOUCH touch the HS820 to the phone.
I couldn't get my HS820 to synch with my new Blackberry Curve the normal way and ultimately got it to synch by going through this process.

Pairing Motorola HS820 with Blackberry 8310
Hi,
there is really no fail safe method to pairing a bluetooth device.
The main thing is recognition. i,d suggest trying to press the different buttons on the transmitting bluetooth device, whilst attempting to pair. i.e volume up/down or on/off et,c. to enable the device-blackberry to find and sync. i,d think the device that needs to be configured or setup correctly is the blackberry rather than the bluetooth device.
try changing the phone settings. to accept all incoming signals on bluetooth, or disable encryption.
hope this helps.
