I would like to state there are two ways to do this, one way is too open the radio cover up and look at the back of the jack where the mic goes and the color of the wires should be the same, or you can do it the second way which is a little longer and patience to do take the wires of the mic and touch one at a time to a prong one should get you sound when its right the other should transmit when you push the handle to talk on the mic

Need more info, is the wires soldered on, has one broken, on board do you get a reading an not on meter? Could be meter or poor solder or broken wires. Because you dont get readings at all, tells me its more likely the meter or connections

There can be several things for that. 1 a bad microphone.2. bad switching diode. or 3 bad rx/tx transistor.. if its staying orange. the #2 is probably the issues.can you provide more detail, as will it RX.. at all.? will it work in PA mode if theres one? etc

did you found the problem,mine has the sam problems...reception not very loud on ssb,am fm very good...

open it u will find it ' it will be very small and it will be hard to do something with it

You can use Two 1n914 or 4148 styles in series.. to replace it.. shouldn't cost more then 16 cents for two..
